23.01.2022 Big weekend of footy ahead, with a lot on the line. Were all very excited in the bleachers and will be barracking hard for the Mighty Hawks to come out on top in all divisions. Back at the clubhouse from 6pm, we will have 20 schnitzels, chips, plenty of nuggets and a pasta salad which we will run for dinner with the usual pricing. First in, best dressed. ... Go Hawks!

23.01.2022 Well its been a big week already with Jamiee Wittervan and Zoe MacGill-Rankin on being named the Div 4 Women Medallists. Congratulations! The day starts tomorrow with the Women playing off in the Grand Final against Flinders Park at Simonds Oval (Kenilworth) starting at 1120. Good Luck! Then the A Grade take on Walkerville in a do-or-die final at Thomas Farms Oval starting at 2:15.... Please remember COVID-19 regulations with being seated while consuming alcohol and practicing social distancing. The league has informed all clubs that finals will be targeted by SA Police. Go Hawks!

23.01.2022 In another improvement to Thomas Farms Oval some back stop nets have been installed behind the northern goals. These nets would not be possible without a successful grant from SA Recreation and Sport. Go Hawks!

The A Grade are vying for second spot while the B Grade are in a battle with six other teams to make the finals. The C Grade need a win to be in contentions for the last finals spot. The Women are at Thomas Farms Oval taking on Marion for a place in the Grand Final. 20.01.2022 On Thursday the 12th of November the Mitcham Football Club held its AGM at the Hyde Park Tavern, a major sponsor of the football club. We are delighted to inform our members that all 14 positions were filled by dedicated members of our club. We, unfortunately, saw the departure of Martin Westdijk as mentioned in a previous post, whilst he will be missed his hard work will certainly be around our club in 2021 supporting our teams each and every week. After 3 years Carsten Gab...risch has stood down from his role as president. We cannot thank him enough for the hard work and dedication he has shown this club over that time. He has successfully seen us through the renovations of our new change rooms and hopefully our only COVID19 affected year. We would also like to thank Michelle, Taylah and Toby for their contributions to the club, often the unsung heroes, we are incredibly grateful for time and effort. Carsten will stay on the Executive for the coming year, to finalize and finish off the final parts of the building project and work on securing much needed grants for the club. We welcome two new members to the committee of Gary Sutherland and Charlie Zammit, two dedicated and passionate individuals. 19.01.2022 **COVID-19 lockdown** Well, that certainly escalated quickly! As you're probably aware, we're in a hard lockdown for at least six days. Lesser restrictions will then be in place for another eight days, and if all goes well things will be relaxed after that. Hopefully, everybody is well and finding ways to keep occupied during the lockdown, or enjoying the downtime as much as possible. A big shout out to all the essential workers who are still going, we all appreciate what you...'re doing for the community. All pre-season training is on hold pending the state restrictions. We'll provide an update as soon as we have more information. Hopefully, the hard lockdown is successful and we can start getting back towards normal as soon as possible. Don't forget, even though we have to be physically distant there's no reason we can't stay in contact through the lockdown. If you're struggling or you know somebody who might be, don't hesitate to reach out through social media or even an old fashioned phone call. If you're after more info on the lockdown the best place to go is the SA Health website or Facebook page. They've also got advice for parents and carers, ideas for COVID safe activities, mental health support and more general info about COVID-19. Stay safe everybody!

15.01.2022 After a big weekend of footy for all the Senior teams here is the lay of the land. The Women had a big win in their Semi-final and are straight into the Grand Final. Well done. The Men's A Grade had a great win after being down at three quarter time. The win secured them second spot and a home final.... Unfortunately both the B and C Grade just missed out on finals by finishing sixth at the end of the Minor Round. Go Hawks!
