24.01.2022 Square One - Tom Petty Take 2.......posted this earlier but had severly stuffed up the placement of Gav's guitar solo. Here's a seldom heard Petty song from his 2006 album 'Highway Companion' recorded for the Tiny Shed Concerts series. I love finding some tunes that are little off the tracks and suit the solo rendition. Not sure if anyone watches these vids, I'm sure there's too much being thrown around on social media at the moment with everyone in lock down. I think som...eone who recently review my album called it "Antipodean Pettyesque guitar rock" so here's a little Petty number all the same. Recorded it and thought it needed a guitar solo so thankfully Gav has swooped in to save the day with his Gibson 335 in hand. 20.01.2022 Being in Melbourne its all about the little wins. To still be loitering around in the Amrap Metro Top 10 after a few weeks is certainly one of those little wins. No luck on the Grand Final BBQ front but big smiles from everyone needing a hair cut (obviously not me...). Once again huge thanks to all the radio stations and DJ's who've been playing my tunes and supporting all the indi releases out there! And to Chris Familton for helping to spread the word. 20.01.2022 3 years later......... Here's a pic taken back in 2018 when we were initially tracking what was to become 'Holding Back the Levee'. Ahhh those Pre Covid days when you could get all 'Up close and personal' with a strange microphone in a studio. Have to say it feels kind of surreal to be finally playing a gig where I'll perform some of these tunes to an audience! Come and support the Tramway! 12.01.2022 New single release - 'In the Stream' comes with a quirky little clip I managed to film during our present lock down here in Vic. Suffice to say it's a solo effort in front of the camera after finding it hard to come up with any ideas that wouldn't infringe on current social distancing requirements. Filmed around the streets of Edithvale, if you live around the area you might spot a few landmarks or familiar street names. "In The Stream’ is a rockabilly-meets-harmonica blues b...oogie. 04.01.2022 The Levee is leaking!!! .... New single heads off to radio tomorrow and also has a little ‘lockdown’ style video to accompany it. Here’s a pic of the Distance boys with legendary band ‘The Flood’ from back in 2006. This was the first of three times we supported them at the Peninsula lounge. Always a huge thrill for us as we were all huge fans. Who’d a thought all these years later a few of these roosters would be so kind to help me out on my track. Thought I better start getting my voice in shape and do a few songs via the ol internet during these dark Covid times.
