25.01.2022 The 2J has been tuned !



23.01.2022 Unfortunately luck wasn't on my side with the 3rd round of the Hi-Tec drift series. The 2JS13 had ignition problems all week, I didn't think I was going to be able to compete with it. Late Thursday night I fixed the miss and put her on Redsun Motorsport dyno for a final check where it didn't miss a beat. First lap out in practice and it misfired the whole lap. Come back into the pits and fixed some wiring and got the motor to rev nicely and not miss. Went out to qualifying wi...th no practice and managed to qualify 12th.. I was not to happy with this result as I new if I had a few more practice laps to get used to the grip of the track and the new MCA coilovers I would of placed better. Going into the top 32 I battled Jason in the Ute where I took the win. On my chase lap the engine decided it didn't want to play and started miss firing and breaking down again. This time I couldn't fix the problem going into the top 16. I was up against Yates where I new to beat him I would need a motor that was performing on point and not missing and carrying on. We went out and I struggled to keep up with him as the 2j didn't want to play. This result wasn't good for my championship standings but I'll fix this issue and try get some points back at the next round. 23.01.2022 The Hi-Tec Drift Australia Rd 2 is done and dusted. We were close to getting on the podium once again, placing 4th. I made a few changes to the car for this round, main one being new coil overs which took a while getting used to and many adjustments. Once I dialed them in the car felt awesome ! Thanks to all the boys for helping in the pits and Scotty P for the lend of your coilover due to mine being damaged in the top 8 battle. Thanks to all my sponsors. 19.01.2022 Last night was one of the highlights of my drifting career so far at the Hi-Tec Drift Australia figure 8 1st round. The big reveal of the new look S13 with its new body kit from JSAI Aero and it's wild wrap from Killer Image Signs & Vehicle Wrapping. Didn't know how the car was going to handle and perform on the figure 8 but as soon as I got a few practice laps in I was smiling In my helmet, the power of the 2J and the traction of the Goodride Tyres worked a treat. I knew fr...om then I'd have a good night. Qualified in 4th place which I was more than happy with. I had some tough battles all the way to the final ! I could write about all of them but it would be a novel ! The final with Brad I new I had to step it up but I just couldn't keep up with his crazy 86 ! So I placed 2nd overall which i was stoked over ! Thanks to all my mates and supporters who come out to help me with my car and to cheer me on ! 19.01.2022 The 2J has finally been tuned and couldn't be happier ! We took her to Scott at Haltech as my usual tuner Micks Motorsport is away racing. Scott is a master on the Haltech and done an awesome job ! Very happy I took it to him. We were struggling with traction on the dyno but got there in the end with 3 of us in the boot. She ended up making 387kw on 21 pound with wheel spin and 1000NM of torque ! Can't wait for its debut track day at Wakefield on the 22nd with Revolution Motorsport.

18.01.2022 Well we finally got the S13 out for its first comp at the HiTec drift all stars round at Winton Raceway. The motor got a fresh retune at #micksmotorsport and pumped out a healthy 515kw.. We went out for practice on Friday where we had a few electrical bugs, which we sorted out in time for the qualifying.. Where we placed in 10th position. Saturday we were all ready for battles.. We made it to the top 8 where we come up against Mote in the HiTec 350Z. Unfortunately on the ch...ase lap my car shut down due to another electrical bug which knocked me out.. We are happy with how the car performed in its first comp. Few changes to be made for next weekend for the 5th round of the HiTec series at Eastern Creek South circuit.. 14.01.2022 I know it’s been a long time since posts on this page but I am back in the hot seat and ready to burn rubber with the best in the business at World Time Attack Challenge this weekend! I accepted a spot in the competition about 5 weeks ago knowing my car needed lots of work including a whole new Gearbox conversion being a RB box to a TR6060. I messaged my sponsor Gearbox Masters - The Manual Transmission Specialists and strait away said bring the car in and we will get it don...e. I can’t thank Seane McDonald enough for the amount of work and hours he has put into building me a fresh box, organising a Dellow Conversions bellhousing, rebuilding my GTR diff with a taller ratio to suit the 6 speed and many other jobs including replacing my Ford Ranger tow cars clutch for me! Another sponsor who has just come on board is Coating King. These guys specialise in high temp coating, powder coating and plenty more thermal coatings for engine components etc I wanted my wheels coated so these guys sprayed them in a Teflon coating for high wear and to try keep tyre temp down for a longer lasting tyre. They look sick! Another sponsor to help me get on track is Flood Automotive Pty Ltd. These guys had a tail shaft made up for me and gave me plenty of advice with my Gearbox conversation. 08.01.2022 We picked up the S13 last week from JSAI Aero and am extremely happy with how she turned out !! Once we get a new exhaust on her we will be back to JSAI for a rear diffuser to finish her of. Then she will be off for paint and a wrap !

04.01.2022 On Saturday night we had the 2nd round of the Hi-Tec Drift Australia series. The night was going well, placing 6th in qualifying which put me up against Mitch Cole where I got the win. The top 8 i had Beau Yates, unfortunately his 86 had mechanical failure so he was driving the little rotary powered Ke70 that he drove the wheels of, i managed to get the win. The top 4 I had Jabbit, but after my warmup burnout my car died and I was not going anywhere which gave Jabbit the win. Unfortunately the timing belt tensioner bolts sheared which caused the belt to fall of crank pulley. Thanks to all the people involved to run the event and all the sponsors. Cyas at Winton for Rd3!

03.01.2022 We managed to grab 4th place at the 1st Rd of the Hi-Tec Drift Australia series! Over the off season the car had a check over at Gearbox Masters - The Manual Transmission Specialists where we installed a pull type handbrake and got my radiator, exhaust manifold, exhaust, turbo and intercooler heat coated by Coating King to keep the engine bay, coolant and exhaust temps down. The coatings definitely doing there job as I was coming in with oil and water temps at least 10 cool...er than previous events! We also sent the turbo of to Hi Spool Industries for a check over and reassembly after both turbine and compressor housings were coated. Friday was practice and qualifying, I was nervous about driving with a vertical pull style handbrake as id always used a standard horizontal style, it took me a few laps to get used to it but when I did I loved it! I changed my driving style a bit this rd where I became more aggressive with the throttle which benefited me gaining 4th place qualifier. Saturday was competition day. I went out for practice in the morning where my diff become quite loud, after 2 laps I came in and decided to change it out with my spare. Luckily we did as the pinion bearing had collapsed. Into battles I won my top 16 battle against Mitch Doyal who was borrowing the HiTec oils BMW as his car lost the clutch. Top 8 was with Warwick Hill where we went 3 reruns! I managed to finally get the win after using up all my tyres! Top 4 I went out on old tyres against Matt Harvey in his S13 2J where I pushed super hard but lost that battle. Unfortunately we lost our next battle against Jabbit. Need to bring more tyres next event! Thanks Seane McDonald, Luke Carmady Chris Ladbrook for your help in the pits.

02.01.2022 The last night of the Hi Tec series didn't go to plan.. I spent many hours on the car upgrading the rear end with a GKTECH set up to have my clutch blow up in 2nd qualifying lap. The car felt super fast so it was very disappointing to not continue to the battles. Thanks to all my sponsors who all helped in there own way throughout the year !
