17.01.2022 Whom ever came to the Cafe at approx 10.00am today please check your cars engine oil asap. Upon seeing the car park today I saw a fair bit of oil where someone had parked and we would hate for you to be stuck out in the middle of the bush with a seized engine.

10.01.2022 Due to family engagements we are closing today at 1.00pm. We apologise for this, however the business of business must sometimes come second on the list. The recent pandemic has made this even clearer and so it is family first.

07.01.2022 A father and son paid our cafe a visit 2 days ago. They had been prior that day and wanted a tour of the hotel but we were busy, said they would call again later and adios they went. They did call back that day but were late and we were shutting up however a good barista always leaves the machine on till absolute stumps. They tried the locked door and began walking away so I ran out and beckoned them in. We of course make them a couple of decent espressos and invited both for... a tour. Wifey took them around and gave the obligatory commentary which took hours(joke) and they returned to pay for their coffees. Upon studying them I came to realise how much I missed my dad who has since passed, I observed the comfortable silence they had, you know the type when you know someone well and dont feel the need to talk so as to not be awkward. They asked how much do we owe you and I answered, "for you today half price" they refused of course but none the less I charged half price. They thanked us, walked out the door both smiling as they bid us farewell. I had a quiet moment to think about the good times I spent with my dad, the comfortable silence we shared and the way he would walk alongside me in the good times and the bad. So I say to the visiting father and son. I am the one who should be thankful because you gave me pause for thought and to know what Christmas is really about. So it is we wish all our customers a safe holiday and one where perhaps the presents are little less important, but more so it is who we are with that will mean the most.We are grateful for your business and guidance when we asked, we appreciate your trust in letting us cater for your functions, Have a safe holiday, God bless all.
