25.01.2022 An amazing example of using MiTek PosiStruts in a large-scale project, done by Independent Timber Supplies! Shoutout to Jason Steens for supplying the video! Job Background The building is a childcare centre. Timber prefabricated structural elements were selected for the project, due to their positive impact on construction speed. Timber framing was selected because of its #renewableresources nature and the fact that the building has locked away carbon within the timber fibre...s. The floor area of the project is 900m2. Independent Timber Supplies selected MiTek #PosiStrut trusses as the most suitable system for the floor, to allow a top chord supported end detail configuration. This meant the carpenters could use a post and beam method of building that suited the sloped site, but without the need for Joist Hangers and the associated fixings.
