22.01.2022 The perfect way to round off the week- puppy vaccinations! These 6 Jack Russells and 8 Border Collie pups came in today for their first vaccines and microchipping before they can go to their new homes.

21.01.2022 Here we have a brave little Jellie, the 5 month old Staffy X just before her desexing procedure! Jellie was so brave all day and while she may look a little worried in the photo, she didn’t want to leave when her dad come to pick her up! Jellie is definitely a favourite here at Mivet because she is always so excited to see us and never wants to go home! No wonder Nurse Jordan couldn’t resist cuddles

10.01.2022 Willow’s Story Meet little willow! Willow was brought into us by her owner after she had stopped eating and started vomiting a lot, after many days and many tests done, it was found that Willow had Feline pancreatitis! Because Willow was still refusing to eat, Dr Alastair placed a nasal feeding tube, and Willow was on her way to recovery. Luckily after 3 days, willow decided that she would start eating by herself and the feeding tube was removed. By the following day Willow was allowed to go home back to her mum and her furry siblings! Throughout the whole process, Willow remained lovely as ever and absolutely loved being cuddled by staff!

05.01.2022 Snake season is well and truly upon us! Unlucky for Daisy she became victim to a deadly brown snake. When Daisy's owners came home in the afternoon they found a dead brown snake in the same yard as Daisy. At first Daisy seemed okay, then she began shaking and became unwell. Daisy's owners quickly rushed her to Dr Alastair and the team where they were able to provide urgent and life saving treatment. Luckily for Daisy she made a fantastic recovery and was able to go home the following afternoon. Here she is pictured wearing her beautiful Staffy smile with Trainee nurse Kasey.

02.01.2022 How handsome does 11 year old Maverick look after his cyst removal surgery. Maverick had a cyst on the top of his head that refused to heal, which would become annoying for both Maverick and his owners. After a quick consultation, Dr Alastair along with Mavericks owners, decided that the best option would be to remove it. Maverick had an awesome anaesthetic and recovered wonderfully with a brand new hair-do! Good boy Maverick!
