25.01.2022 Sugars not doing you any favours. . If youre looking at boosting your immune system, you might wanna have a look at cutting the amount of sugar in your diet. . Image Reposted @drstevenlin

24.01.2022 We have about 50 days left in the year. What 2 areas would you most like to improve before the end of this year? Drop a comment

22.01.2022 Never lose sight of where you want to get to. Stay focused on your destination, making course corrections until youve arrived.

22.01.2022 Strong backs get things done. Russell working through sets of Landmine Bent Over Rows. Being a compound exercise thisworks many muscle groups, the main one being your lats&rhomboids. ... When you pull the weight higher to your chest it works more of your upper-back, while pulling the weight closer to your waist will work more of your mid-back muscles.

21.01.2022 Russel smashing it during our circuit session consisting of the Rower, Deadlifts, Back Squats, Bent Over Rows, TRX Rows & Push-ups.

21.01.2022 Something a little bit different for my workout today. . 60 minutes of EMOMs (each minute on the minute) x 10 reps by 50kg Bench Presses. . So that gave me a total of 600 reps and worked out at 30 tonne or 30,000kgs of weight lifted during that hour.... . And if youre up for a bit of a challenge yourself the most accumulative weight bench pressed in one hour is 305,300 lb (138,480 kg) which was set by Eamonn Keane (Ireland) at World Gym, Marina del Rey, California, USA on the 22nd of July in 2003. . He did 1,280 reps with 200 lb (90.7 kg) and 493 reps with 100 lb (45.3 kg). See more

20.01.2022 Geordie smashing this challenging workout in just over 17 minutes. . For time alternate between: 8 x 200m runs 8 x 20 18kg Kettlebell Swings... . Give it a go & let us know or See more

18.01.2022 Working out & eating foods that fuel your body in a healthy way boosts your immune system

18.01.2022 Are we there yet? Not quite, but youre a lot closer than the other 70% who quit on their goals. And often its not really their fault either, because no ones shown them how.... A large part of what separates those who do from those who dont is that thing between our ears. Our brain, or more accurately our mental toughness and stamina. And thats were having a good coach is vital. Someone that gets you, that challenges you, that bit by bit helps you increase your mental toughness, someone that wont let you quit!

18.01.2022 Gruelling workout session for Geordie this morning. . For time: 1600 metre run 150 x 18kg Kettlebell Swing... 160o metre run . Completed in 26.57 minutes. . So if youre stuck for training ideas give this one a go. Ill promise you wont be disappointed See more

17.01.2022 A snapshot in time. We see that image on the right and want that look. Well you can if you stay in that pose. Is that realistic? Not really. . Or we see Wolverines abs in X-Men and decide we want those. Well you can as well, as long as youre willing to do what Hugh Jackman did for that shot of the scene. He dry fasted, that means no food or water, for 36 hours to get that particular look. Healthy? Long term, not really. . Dont get to hung up on those vanity shots comparing ...yourself to them, theyre not real, but rather choose long term health, strength, energy & vitality Repost @fitness --- This is an example as why you should never compare yourself to what you see online. @namastehannah shows how the manipulation of a pose can change the perspective. Although we believe it is important to workout and improve yourself, we believe it should be done for the right reasons :) @ Mixed Mode Fitness

17.01.2022 Is fasting part of your diet? . If not you should have a serious look into it and consider adding it. It can be a very valuable addition to what you do. . I fast regularly myself. Sometimes just one meal, sometimes two and other times 36 hours or more. I mix it up and stay flexible. Listen to what your body is telling you.... . Eat when you feel hungry. Not until your full though, only enough for the hunger signal to disappear See more

17.01.2022 If you'll google, you'll come across countless diets. And there are a tonne of really bad ones out there. You've probably tried some of them yourself.... Diets don't work! Choose a way of eating that gives you the most in nutrition. With a minimum amount of calories. And in the most bio-available format possible. And then only eat when you're hungry. And then only eat until that hunger signal's gone, not until you're stuffed. If your goal is to gain keep adding food until you are. If the goal is to lose then keep dropping a little until you are. Doing more is not always better and can actually stop you in your tracks. If you're not seeing results and would like some help with this, send me a message and we'll have a chat. Or simply comment below and I'll touch base with you

13.01.2022 Dont stress out about vanity numbers. They dont give the whole story. A whole lot of people get so hung up about these numbers. . If that is you, keep reading. . You know what tells the whole story, gives us a better picture.... . Your mirror. Are you happy with what youre seeing? . Your clothes. Are you happy with how your clothes are fitting? . Even more important, are you happy with how you feel? Do you feel strong, alive, confident, energized & like you could leap tall buildings in a single bound? . Work on those things thatll make you feel like that. . Image Repost @bodybuilding.tricks . Tag a friend whod like this See more

13.01.2022 Starting this week determine not to let your indulgences get the better of you. . Remember when we were kids and our parents would say things like, this is a sometime food, and then we leave home and realise that a sometime food can be an everyday food, as nobody is stopping us, and chocolate cake can be had for breakfast. Well thats where it all went pear-shaped. . Check out this post from @food.lies... --- This is my understanding of how often we got treats up until the last few decades As I work on the Food Lies film every day I try to whittle down all the important concepts that led to the sad state of modern society While our food choices have shifted, so have our habits For one reason or another weve created a world where everyone wants immediate gratification, mouth pleasure, and feel entitled to get treats whenever we want Luckily, theres a growing group of people who are resisting this and finding joy in delicious animal-based meals and then not needing a snack or treat like a spoiled little kid!

13.01.2022 Slamballs . Add this full body move in to give yourself a bit more of a challenge. Obviously the heavier the ball, the more challenged you'll be. . And did I mention these can also be a good stress reliever as well

12.01.2022 Lukes nailing it. Hes chasing his goals. Hes averaging 1/2kg weekly weightloss. 9.5kg total gone so far. . And not only that, but hes also getting fitter, faster & stronger each week and feeling great

12.01.2022 Luke definately feeling the burn during this workout session.

12.01.2022 Shes on track & smashing it. Every week Genas brings her A-Game. She doesnt hold back, she plays to win, and win she does. Down 22kg and a few dress sizes since we started.... Genas not afraid of the heavy weights, because she knows and understands shes not gonna end up looking like the Hulk. She will however end up stronger, looking more toned and increase her metabolism from it. Today shes doing Deadlifts & Farmer Carries with 2 x 17.5kg Dumbbells. Followed this up with boxing. Genas got a solid hook

12.01.2022 Keep pushing your yourself, youre worth it! . Another EMOM today. This time 30 minutes of 10 x 50kg Deadlifts every minute. Total lifted 15 tonne.

11.01.2022 Working with Tori on toning and building strength. Here she's doing as part of a circuit 55kg Deadlifts & Knee Raises. Since starting Tori has gotten more toned with good muscle definition and is quite a bit stronger from when we started.

11.01.2022 Working on increased range of motion with Adam. Most of us due to the nature of our work having us sitting all day shorten our hip flexors which in turn inhibits our ability to reach maximum depth in our squats. Squatting is one of the moves to overcome this while strenghtening our whole movement chain.... Next time you see a toddler squat you'll know what I mean by squatting. We wanna try and squat like they do. With a bit of time and practise that's possible

10.01.2022 We are the physical representation of our daily actions & habits. Our daily thoughts & habits become our reality. . If we want to change that reality, then we need to start by changing our daily thoughts & habits

10.01.2022 Luke continuing to bring his A-game and smashing through our HIIT & Weight sessions. . Hes leaning out, looking more defined, feeling stronger and has tons more energy. . Its not all training though. As he continues reigning in his diet his results keep showing.

08.01.2022 Some make excuses... others get stuff done. Never let age, too young or too old, get in the way of getting to where you want to be. . Check out Lauren Bruzzone, whos 73,smashing these workouts & chasing her goals, shes got some long range plans. What an inspiration

06.01.2022 Never backs away from a challenge. Geordie came, he saw and he conquered this Pyramid of pain (adopted from an @thewodlife workout). For time:... 200m run 20 Burpees 400m run 40 Lunges 600m run 60 Push-ups 800m run 80 Air Squats 600m run 60 Push-ups 400m run 40 Lunges 200m run 20 Burpees And it took him... drumroll... 36 minutes Give it a go and let and get back with your time and thoughts.

05.01.2022 Quick 30 minute workout session between clients. . Another EMOM. 14 x 30kg Leg Presses every minute. Glad when it was over. All up 420 reps and 12.6 Tonne of weight lifted. . Loving using a timer. When the buzzer goes off, you go again, no time to waste.

05.01.2022 No growth ever happens without some struggle, discomfort or pain. Its just part of the package. . Everybody wants the results, but not everyones willing to pay the price and do what it takes to get there. . Determine what it is youre after, ask yourself what will it it take and whether youre willing to do that?... . If the answer is yes, then it will be yours, and youll be among those who were willing to pay the price, do the work, who are then able to enjoy the prize See more

05.01.2022 Adam doing Dumbbell Shoulder Presses during our weights based HIIT & Boxing session. The muscles you'll work during the overhead press are your pecs (chest) delts (shoulders) triceps (arms) traps (upper back). And using Dumbbells for this your making sure each side is kept honest during the workout as opposed to using a barbell where the stronger side can compensate your weaker side.

04.01.2022 Genas smashing it. Hitting goals & major milestones one of those being getting under a weight level that had been illusive for a long time. . When you stay focused, keep working hard and dont let up... thats when the results will start showing up for you

04.01.2022 Eyeballing and guesstimating your food doesnt work and wont get you to where you wanna be. . Repost @vatcheshakarian --- One does not need to accurately measure their calorie intake for fat loss just as much as one does not need to accurately save enough money for a holiday. But if both occur without conscious awareness, they do so by accident. Tracking via heaped spoonfuls and unknown handfuls of food essentially mirrors the Holliday savers belief that a 5p coin is in ...actual fact a 1 coin put towards their holiday. - - But of course this is not the reality. An individual can refuse to weigh food if they wish. They can deem such practice as excessive or obsessive behaviour. But that same individual is unlikely to attribute the same stigma upon themselves if they were to accurately ensure they had saved enough money for the holiday. Winding up 750 short on the eve of a holiday isnt much fun. And neither is continuity of an everlasting struggle to lose fat. - Accurate measurement of anything takes one closer to reality. In the realms of fat loss, a negative energy balance is the sole means by which fat loss occurs. Therefore it makes sense to categorically know that this energy balance is being achieved. - - To eyeball food and estimate calories is only applicable to those trained in calorie counting. To those with vast experience and understanding of calorie density within the foods they eat. If enough knowledge is attained, it can become automatic. But only then. - - But to the untrained individual seeking fat loss, it is short sighted to forego the rigorous tracking of their calorie intake. Furthermore, refusing to measure accurate quantities of food disarms ones ability to realise accurate quantities of food. The accuracy of ones energy balance is therefore compromised. - - If fat loss is the goal, unweighed heaped spoonfuls, handfuls and multiple knives of food can be consumed if desired. But its probably a good idea to be aware of the compromise (or non compromise) this has on the overall calorie target over time. That way one can adjust and stay on track. shoutout to @thefitnesschef_ for the awesome post ! See more

04.01.2022 Hitting goals! 1. Keep & stay focused on what it is you're after. 2. Do this daily > Remind yourself in the morning > And in the evening ask, 'Did I do everything I needed to do today to get me closer to my goals?'

03.01.2022 Luke starting our session with 3 x 400 metre sprints & then following it up with circuits of Deadlifts, Back Squats & Bench Presses. . Hes totally nailing, it both in our training session and with his food. Hes lost 10kgs so far. Another 4kgs to go to hit his goal. Way to go Luke

02.01.2022 Gena using bent-over Dumbbell Rows to strengthen her upper body. The rows target most of your back but also hit the shoulders, traps, and biceps.

02.01.2022 As long as youre just cruising along at a comfortable pace you can forget about results. . Its only when you leave your comfort zone behind... feel that burn in your muscles... your lungs screaming for air... your heart thumping in your chest... thats when youll start seeing real results. . You wont get those results at bargain basement prices, they have to be earned focus, discipline & sweat equity

02.01.2022 What was I thinking? Saw this workout suggestion which is a 1000 20" box step-ups with a 20kg weight vest. Sounded a bit challenging so I thought I'd give it a go. About 1 1/2 hours later and I got it done. What a leg workout. 20kg Weight Vest comes to 20,000kg or 20 tonne of weight moved. Add my weight in and that becomes 113,000kg or 113 tonne moved. ... We often want to give up, actually it's our mind that wants to, long before our bodies do. I'm no different to anybody else in that regard. So that's when you add some self talk and tell yourself to suck it up and keep going. There were a few times I wanted to stop. And the last 100 steps ups were incredibly hard. So if you want a bit of a challenge and give your legs a good working over then give this a go.

01.01.2022 Dont compare yourself to someone else. You dont know what stage of the journey theyre on. . Only ever really compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Are you fitter, faster, stronger, better today then you were yesterday?... Are you closer to your goals today then you were yesterday? These are the type of questions to ask yourself. And if you cant answer with a Yes then perhaps its time to ask Why Not or re-evaluate how badly you really want to achieve your goals. Take time this weekend to get clear on and reset your goals
