24.01.2022 Today the Bridal Expo was on at Lardner Park near Warragul where I shared a stand with three other passionate Thermomix consultants. Rayne and Erin did the morning shift and Belinda and I (pictured) did the afternoon shift. We had a Thermomix on the stand, along with samples of DIY Bombonieres that brides to-be can make for a fraction of the cost and chatted to so many excited brides to-be who were there to check out everything needed to make their day memorable from photog...raphers to cake decorators and Thermomix of course! The Thermomix makes a fantastic wedding present so we had Gift Registry information for anyone wanting to get a TM6 for their wedding gift. If you couldn’t get to the Expo and want to know more about Thermomix and how it can make your wedding day special, please contact me or one of our amazing consultants. Big thank you to Chelsea for organising the stand, Rayne and Erin for setting up, Belinda who joined me, and everyone who stopped to talk about the TM6 and enjoyed my Salted Caramel Chocolate Fudge and other gift ideas made by the other consultants. Thanks also to Kaylene for helping me with wrapping my Bombonieres ... they looked so professional and came in under $1 ... not bad! Visit https://thermomix.com.au/ for more information.

23.01.2022 THERMO THURSDAY ..... recipes, tips and everything Thermomix! CHOCOLATE BROWNIE TRIFLE If you have a Thermomix this is one awesome dessert full of deliciousness to wow your family and friends this Christmas.... I made this trifle in about 50 mins when I represented our Therminatorsteam on the Guide to Cardinia facebook solo cooking segment on Monday night. I could cook whatever I liked in a 30 minute time slot which went a little over but I knew the end result was worth the wait as I cooked with 114 viewers watching. I knew this trifle would take longer if I had to bake the brownie and chill the custard live, so I pre made them and swapped them over with the ones I made during the cook. I’ve been wanting to make this trifle ever since I saw the recipe in my Festive Flavours Thermomix cookbook and I couldn’t wait for an opportunity to make it so I thought why not trust my Thermomix guided cooking recipe and do it live. It was a joy to make and I was so happy and proud of the end result. If you haven’t got a Thermomix and would like see how easy it is to make this Chocolate Brownie Trifle, contact me and we can make it together at a Cooking Experience. Check out the recipe. https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r93804

04.01.2022 THERMO THURSDAY ..... recipes, tips and everything Thermomix! THERMOMAT TO THE RESCUE!!! What do you do when you offer to show a close friend how to cook your no-fail Christmas cake then accidentally burn the top of them in her absence!... Do you tell her straight away? Nope, Barbs had posted photos of herself on Facebook proudly putting her four perfectly mixed cakes, adorned with cherries and macadamias, into a slow oven. I’ve literally made hundreds of Christmas cakes over the years and have never burnt one. Would have to be this time! So what did I do? I was going to send her a photo of the cooked cakes but now that was NEVER going to happen! I did take a photo though because I thought maybe I could make more and put the cherries and nuts in the same spots ..... remember she had posted photos on Facebook so they had to look the same. I could have taken this easy way out but I couldn’t bring myself to do it as she’d proudly made these beautiful cakes with so much love for her family and friends. I decided to ring and wake up daughter Katie in the US as we always help each other out in these tough cooking times and believe me this was one of those times! She thought I could re-make them too but suggested my friend Barbs would probably love the opportunity to have another baking day together. I cut the burnt cake off and to my surprise the cakes themselves seemed ok so I plucked up the courage to fess up and gave Barbs the option of another cook or to put white icing on top. As it turned out Barbs had lovely childhood memories of iced cakes her mum used to make so she was really happy to have them iced as she loved the taste of the cakes (without the burnt tops) and said they were fine. So, early this morning I decided to put the white icing on the cakes with the help of my non-stick Thermomix Thermomat, and I must say they were the easiest cakes I’ve ever iced. No need for messy icing sugar and I had the circles as a guide. I put the cakes on the rolled out icing then peeled back the mat and it couldn’t have been better. Wish I had this mat when I used to decorate so many cakes years ago. I’m sure Barb’s love outweighs my stress in the cakes. The Thermomat saved the day and it pays to be honest hahaha! If you’ve got a ThermoMat please give it a try if you haven’t already or you can purchase one for $60 from TheMixShop or get the set of 2 for $25 or free when you host a cooking experience with me
