Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the traditional Hobsons Bay Breakfast, ...a date of significance to both Aboriginal people and European settlers to Australia, has been modified. The Lions Club of Altona, together with Hobsons Bay City Council and the Australian Federal Government have thrown their support behind this initiative. This initiative is designed, in a Covid-safe fashion, to bring our community together after this past trying year, by celebrating the civic achievements and artistic offerings of our community, in addition to continuing the dialogue of healing between people of European descent and the Aboriginal Community. In addition to local dignitaries and guest speakers, we will hear from Wiradjuri SopranoVocalist Shauntai Batzke, poet and activist Robbie Batzke, in addition to performances from The Glenrowan Bush Band, The Worlds Biggest Garage Band, and Visionary-Steel.
