17.01.2022 What a great photo (thanks Amanda Robinson from the Rights Information & Advocacy Centre ) of a great networking lunch, with people joining in from not-for-profit organisations large and small, metro and regional, from across Victoria and NSW! If you want to join in one of these sessions, we have two more dates scheduled - 21 Oct and 25 Nov - and places still remain in each. Get in touch now to register before they book out.... #notforprofit #leadership #networking

09.01.2022 Thursday's inaugural Networking Lunch for Not-for-profit Leaders was a great success! Given the positive feedback from those who attended, as well as it being booked out resulting in a number of people who wanted to join in being unable to get a place, I am going to run another in two weeks’ time on Thursday 16 September. Again it will just be a simple zoom gathering, and we will explore the same discussion topic: What’s been your NFP’s biggest COVID challenge? And how have... you dealt with it? (so it is just for people who were unable to attend on Thursday). The session will be free of charge and will run from 12 pm 1 pm all people will need to do is BYO lunch and log in. So if you or someone you know is sitting on a NFP board or management committee (or reporting to one), and you think this get-together would be of interest, please do share the details, and get in touch with me to book in if you would like to attend. Again places will be limited, so I do encourage people to book in now so they don’t miss out! Once they are booked in, I will send through the zoom link (a day or two before the session). It was so great to see people at Thursday’s session making valuable new connections and I am sure the next session will deliver the same benefits to those who can attend. #leadership #networking #notforprofit #connection #collaboration #inspiration See more

27.12.2021 Last week I attended a fantastic online business networking session, and it occurred to me that I haven’t really seen any similar opportunities for not-for-profit leaders to get together and share ideas and talk through challenges especially with all the challenges each and every one of us is currently facing! I am sure such opportunities are probably out there, but I figured if I’m not seeing them, others likely aren’t either So the natural next step for me was to create ...the space to host a few similar sessions, and see if people find them of value. To that end I am going to start with the first one on Thursday 2 September. It will be a simple zoom gathering, with a discussion topic of: What’s been your NFP’s biggest COVID challenge? And how have you dealt with it? (we should all have plenty to discuss on that front!) The session will be free of charge and will run from 12 pm 1 pm all you will need to do is BYO lunch and log in. This first session will be aimed at people involved in the governance of NFP organisations. So if you (or someone you know) are sitting on a NFP board or management committee, and think this get-together would be of interest, please get in touch with me to book in. Places will be limited, so please book in now so you don’t miss out! Once you are booked in, I will send you through the zoom link. Let’s see if a bit of connection with some new people can’t inspire us and give us all a bit of a lift #notforprofit #leadership #networking See more
