24.01.2022 A $143 million support package has been announced to help small businesses and sole traders affected by the recent Victorian 5-day circuit-breaker restrictions. More than 50,000 Victorian small businesses are expected to benefit from the payments, including restaurants, florists, confectioners, hairdressers, accommodation providers, musicians and performers. 24.01.2022 The City of Casey has launched the 'Backing Business in Casey Business Grants Program' to support local business through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. 07.01.2022 As we all now know, The Victorian Government has announced that Stage 3 ‘Stay at Home’ restrictions have been reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from 11:59 on 8 July 2020 to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. These restrictions will be in place for six weeks and will then be reviewed by the Chief Health Officer. The return to Stay at Home restrictions mean that businesses within metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire such as... restaurants, cafes, pubs, gyms, indoor sporting venues, cinemas, live music, entertainment venues and other businesses are either restricted in their operations or can no longer operate. Businesses within metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire that are affected by the return to Stay at Home restrictions may be eligible for a one-off, $5,000 grant under the Business Support Fund - Expansion program. https://www.business.vic.gov.au//bus/business-support-fund This program is a new initiative in addition to the first round of the Business Support Fund, which closed on 1 June 2020. Further to this, the eligibility criteria for this package has been expanded from the first and earlier initiative. Applications for the program close on 19 August 2020. This expansion will be in the form of one-off grants to eligible businesses: - $10,000 for employing businesses in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire in recognition of spending longer under restr...ictions - $5,000 for employing businesses in regional local government areas (except Mitchell Shire) "Businesses which have already received a BSFe grant, or have applied for one, will not need to re-apply.
