24.01.2022 Huon Pine (Lagarostrobos franklinii) is only found in Tasmania. First discovered growing on the banks of the Huon River (named after the French explorer Huon D...e Kermandec). The most prolific stands of Huon pine were found in the west coast of Tasmania. Extensive logging of this valuable tree has removed most specimens on the lower section of the Huon River but can still be viewed at Tahune Adventures. Image from Steve Gadd See more
