23.01.2022 **Attention! Inspiring story alert!** This year alone Total cms lost: 55cm!! Total weight lost : 17kgs... Weight lost since August 2018: 33kgs Just over 6 months ago I met Amy as a kickstart and she had already begun her weight loss journey but she told me she was ready to lose more and feel more confident in her own skin. I’ve trained Amy every week since then and have seen not only the physical changes but also in her emotions. You can see from the photos below just how happy she is that she’s changing her life! This is Naomi, when I met her during her inductions at Goodlife in December you could tell she had dreams and aspirations for herself in 2019... but I could also see she was absolutely terrified as well of her journey ahead. I told her that nothing would be out of reach with the right mindset and the right training, and from there her journey began. I think now more than ever we all need to be looking for ways to inspire ourselves and stay fit and healthy because it is no secret that life is not normal right now! 12.01.2022 Here is a bit of a story that left me feeling grateful for the job I do: Leaving the gym this afternoon I was walking out to go home and overheard a discussion at reception about one of my clients from my old job. He had signed up a while ago but I noticed he hadn’t come in to train yet, so I gave him a call and booked him in next week for a complimentary session to ease him in and show him around. It turned out he was a little nervous about coming to a big gym and wasn’t su...re where or how to get started! It was a really heartwarming moment hearing the joy in his voice when he answered, not with a hello but with my name. The fact he kept my number a year later was gratifying enough but to hear his excitement when I called was even more touching. Never forget where you came from, or the people you helped along the way to reach your current destination. 09.01.2022 ***MEMBER INSPIRATION #2!!!*** This ones not so much of a weight loss goal, more a goal of someone totally exceeding my expectations and their own! When Kyle came to me just under three months ago and told me he had never been in a gym and wanted to put on some muscle mass and lift more weights, I was more than happy to take on his goals and make them my own as well. During his first session with me Kyle did a set on the leg press, with two 20kg plates on either side, which ...for him at the time was an achievement as he’d never seen a leg press before. BUT today (2 and a half months later) here is a video of Kyle with not one, not two, but SIX 20kg plates and some change to break the 300kg mark for 6 reps! 07.01.2022 Hey team, In light of recent events I thought I’d give everyone an update. The gym still remains open and bootcamps are still going ahead !!! The cleaning effort has been ramped up tenfold by our trainers and cleaning staff this week and the gym is smelling fresher than a spring morning! Your safety is important to us all as trainers and we will continue to make sure it stays that way when you come and train! Hopefully I’ll see a good turnout tomorrow morning at 6am!
