22.01.2022 Not sure what to give your budding artist for Christmas? This coming January I will again be running our BENDIGO Art Summer School!! After last year's great success with the 4 day summer school art program - this year I plan to offer two separate programs for different ages and ability levels. Group 1: Beginner's Program. Monday 11th of Jan, Tues 12th, Thurs 14th and Fri 15th. Four days 9:30am till 12pm each day for beginners or children aged 5-8yrs. Group 2: Intermediate Pro...gram. Monday 18th of Jan, Tues 19th, Thurs 21st and Fri 22nd. Four days 9:30am till 12:30pm each day for intermediate level students or ages 9+. So much will be covered over the four days: *Acrylic *Watercolour *Ink *Impressionistic *Abstract *Graphic Illustration & Design *Developing Colour Pallets *Landscapes *Nature *Collage Each session includes all materials needed and each day students return home with their artworks. Each lesson focuses on developing skills, expressing creativity, art for wellbeing, kindness and inclusion. Our Art Summer School Program offers a broad range of art styles and mediums. The fun and relaxed, intensive style week is often a catalyst for students dramatically improving their art skills and also developing a great love for expressive art!! The beginners program is only $160pp. The intermediate program is only $180pp. Numbers are limited due to social distancing requirements. So be sure to book in early to not miss out. 11.01.2022 Sitting outside enjoying my own company and the rain, with a coffee while my three lads are inside. This year has been extremely difficult for my boys and I, as for many others but we are choosing to be grateful and thankful by trying our best to enjoy each day which is given to us. Ahhh I love the smells in the garden after a down pour! It's true that nothing is certain in this life, aside from our actions impacting others and leaving it one day, so how we live it matters. S...ome days are harder than others that's for sure, however we can choose to make a difference by spreading real love, which in turn gives us joy. Real love is being there for someone you will gain nothing from, or working things through when you don't feel like it, being kind to yourself and knowing your limits, or simply showing up and being present each day with your family. These simple things are essential for our wellbeing and when we practice them we will find even in hard times, each day in time will become easier to both appreciate and enjoy. The storm of COVID has many flow on effects and many people are doing it so tough, so enjoy each day by being kind with no expectations for anything in return. Why not draw or paint something and gift it away? Perhaps message someone with no other reason than to say hello? What about making someone a meal? Visit someone and take the coffees? Just be you and be present not only will you help the other person but you will help yourself too God bless. See more
