17.01.2022 Christmas is nearly upon us and Charlie's Sew-Able will be taking a short break from Saturday 21st December until Charlie reopens with Sit'n'Sew Tuesday, 7th January 2020. 09.01.2022 Hello Friends. I am passing on the information for Lisa Whittaker's Dad's funeral. Roger’s funeral is locked in for this Saturday from 11am at Burstows in Ruthven Street, Toowoomba. There will be a wake from 1:30pm (enough time to grab a bite somewhere on the way) at the Toowoomba Turf Club (Clifford Park). There is plenty of secure parking, a taxi rank and even lots of close hotels and motels for anybody who becomes, err, unable to drive home. If anybody is extra keen on more time in Toowoomba, the Turf Club has dedicated a race to him at its twilight meeting this Friday. Please feel free to share this with anybody you think will be interested.

08.01.2022 When it's meant to be, it will happen. MK's Sew-Able has been Sold. So No Closing Date, Instead opening under New Ownership on Tuesday 3rd December. Charlie (Sharlene) will be running the shop with her own style of zest and appeal. Charlie is a Quilter and does a variety of Hand work. It will be wonderful to see what she can do. She was here most of today & was heartily welcomed with hugs cheers & some tears. So excited.

07.01.2022 Not long now. Only 10 trading days until Closure. Still bargains to be had. I also have a few of her Myla templates, Perfect Circles, Leaves, Ovals and Stems, all discounted. Shop fittings and furniture are also selling, and there is a Bar Fridge and Microwave available. I have some photos to post but I'm having technical problems, I finally got them from my mobile to my laptop, so hopefully the rest will fall in place.

04.01.2022 Happy New Year to you all, my firends. I hope you had a great Christmas/New Year with friends and family. Tomorrow is the day Charlie's Sew-Able opens for the first time in 2020, and it's the first day of Sit' n' Sew. Be prepared for surprise changes, both in decor and routine, but all to the better. You will see Janine with Ruth until Charlie comes in a little later. I'm sorry but I won't be in this week, Mick is still on holiday and we are talking with tradies most days and I hope to finish my bathroom tile selections, not as easy as selecting quilt fabrics. I am learning a lot of new things about toilets, taps and plumbing in general. But, Tomorrow, we will put all the Christmas decorations together for a cull. I have been promising to do this every January for years and finally the time has come. See you soon.Happy Sewing.

Come in and meet Charlie and her friend Ruth as they go about setting up a new look to the former MK's. I am there with them but only in an advisory role as they learn about the little things that time teaches. Bring a friend and take a look at Charlie's quilt work, including a couple of lovely Sashiko pieces. Can't wait to see what Ruth is bringing today.
