20.01.2022 To all MMM Volunteers, Supporters and Staff, With a mixture of sadness and joy we must advise of the passing of long time MMM volunteer George Prolongeau in his Ballarat nursing home on Saturday November 14th. George served with MMM through the 1980's and 90's and was an inspiration to many as they served alongside him. Always an encourager, either through words or deeds George would stay on the Whittlesea base throughout the week and return back to his home in Ballarat on we...ekends. He has several mentions in the "Miles of Ministry", and "Miracles" books. George turned 103 earlier this year and continued steadfast Christian faith throughout his life. (George is pictured below on the left with former army chaplain Reverend Keith Lanyon at an ANZAC Day service in Skipton Street Uniting Church, Ballarat in 2018). George served in the Australian Armed forces during World War 2 were he saw active service in PNG. When asked at 103 years of age about his service he simply stated: "I always did what was asked of me and have some great memories as a result. You have to respect what took place." George is survived by his beloved wife Joy (99 years young) and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The second image is George being chauffeured in the 2019 ANZAC Day Parade in Ballarat with His great grandson Andre. Vale George Prolongeau.

08.01.2022 Thank-you to everyone who joined us for our National Day of Prayer yesterday. We had 38 churches register to pray for us during their service and 35 people who registered their commitment to pray for 30 minutes into the work God is doing through MMM. There were many more others also praying around the Nation and Internationally. Your support is valued and important and we want to say thank-you to each of you for your prayers.

05.01.2022 Expressions of interest are sought for the 2021 Top-End Safari team to visit the Northern Territory for several MMM Projects. Planning is now well advanced and we are now looking to confirm team members and Team Leader(s) for the 6+ projects scheduled. First draft of our schedule has the team starting in Alice Springs on May 24th, and then a generous schedule with several extended breaks between projects to allow you to relax and explore the beauty of the Northern Territory. ...Project sites include: Alice Springs, Ngukurr, Batchelor, Fred’s Pass, Humpty Doo, and Maningrida. If you are interested in serving with the 2021 Safari Team please contact the projects team at: [email protected] or give Terrence Baxter a call at head office if you would like to chat about it. For everyone with a heart to serve on the Safari team, we would appreciate confirmation of your commitment as soon as possible to allow for all the planning necessary. Email us today! We are looking for team members and team leaders to co-ordinate the various projects. Our plan is to have two team leaders to manage projects alternately through the tour. If you're not quite sure, talk with your region manager who can introduce you to team members from previous Top-End Safari teams, they'll tell you what a great experience it is to serve on an MMM Safari Team in the Northern Territory.

04.01.2022 Welcome to Josh & Trish Baade It’s a great joy to welcome Josh and Trish Baade to the MMM Team. Josh and Trish approached MMM last year with an expression of interest in joining the mission on a full time basis. After their initial application they met with John and Anne Cooper, and then the State committee to talk about their hopes and vision for working with MMM. With some background discussions with the pastor from their home church and a final review of the application in... our National Office completed the path was cleared for them if they felt this was where God was leading them. One small hitch, they were in the process of getting married! No problem, they really felt this was God’s calling, and nuptials out the way they set about finding financial support for their call to mission. Josh is a qualified carpenter having recently completed an apprenticeship and has been working as a self-employed handyman/carpenter, and Trish has a bachelor’s degree and has worked in teacher’s aide roles specializing in English supporting workshops for primary students. Added bonus, Trish has a cert 3 in fitness and is first aid qualified. Josh and Trish will be living on base at Mango Hill in Queensland and primarily working with the Northern Australia Team in Queensland. Trish will also be coordinating the Queensland prayer team for MMM. In the coming months (when border issues are not a hindrance) they will be completing their orientation in Head Office in Mitcham. Join us in welcoming Josh and Trish to the MMM Australia team. See more
