21.01.2022 Last week we conducted an equipment inspection, documentation review and discussed operational procedures with Darryl Wright, Manager, Marine Operations, SA State Emergency Services and Senior Sergeant First Class Philip Grear, SA Police Water Operations Unit - this review ensures that we are as prepared as we can be for SAR events and that the correct protocols and procedures are followed. We look forward to working with both SA Police and SES for many years to come to assist in ensuring safety of life on Lake Alexandrina and surrounding waterways.

Thank you to all involved who have given their time to help us reach this landmark milestone... We again acknowledge the incredible generosity of Masonic Charities and Alexandrina Council for making this possible...

13.01.2022 INTRODUCTION TO AND THANK YOU TO FREEMASONS: https://masoniccharities.com.au/ Without a remarkable group of people, the Milang Marine Search & Rescue Squadron simply would not be here today. The Masonic Charities Trust is an initiative of the Freemasons of South Australia & the Northern Territory and was officially launched on the 21st June 2019. The establishment of Masonic Charities Trust followed the sale of Masonic Homes not-for-profit retirement villages which had been e...stablished by the generosity of Freemasons throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory over generations. The repurposed funds are being used to support research and the delivery of health initiatives and other beneficial community activities throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory which have relevance and alignment with Freemasonry’s underlying charter of benevolence. Masonic Charities donates 4% of its corpus each year, currently in excess $2 million to help thousands of disadvantaged and vulnerable people to live happy, fulfilling lives and to participate actively in society. On behalf of the Milang Marine Search & Rescue Squadron and all those that use waterways throughout South Australia, we would like to thank Masonic Charities for their generous donation of $312,000.00 which has allowed for the formation of this Squadron, the purchase of this vessel and the construction of our new boat shed. Revolving around a number of timeless principles, such as brotherly love, relief and truth, Masonic Charities’ vision is to drive Freemasonry’s ongoing relevance and service throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory.
