25.01.2022 Hannah from Stonefield with Mark Nicol Desire 'White Lady' guitar

21.01.2022 1936 Kalamazoo KG11. Headstock resprayed and Kalamazoo logo resprayed. The original would have been a silkscreen logo but with the help Michael Masion who made me some logo stencils sized perfectly from my pre-drawn plans I was able to replicate the logo perfectly. New bridge handmade and fitted. We now await the final test when she is strung up and set. Can't wait to hear this old gem.

18.01.2022 Gibson 57 Reissue multiple broken headstock previously screwed and glued and butchered. Major repair with neww 2mm thick Holly headstock veneer/support and fibreglass support channels over rear break. Was previously burst so new burst and logo fitted and sprayed. Solid as a ROCK now.

15.01.2022 Kalamazoo 1936 KG11 restoration complete. Sounds amazing, full tone and very loud just as you would expect from a true early relic like this. Blues Heaven or Hell. PM me with serious offers only.

14.01.2022 1936 Kalamazoo KG11. Bridge removed and rib cracks repaired. Now to the neck reset. Gibson cleverly used a dovetail plug to make the dovetail appear perfect but you can't hide these things from a good repairman. My favourite coffee machine with bicycle pump attachment and football attachment heatshrunk to the steamer outlet provides me with my neck removal apparatus. Works perfectly and glue softened and neck removed in under 5 mins. New rake angle chiselled and fitted and neck refitted and glued.

12.01.2022 Dean Dimebag From Hell Lightning Bolt signature guitar up for grabs. PM me if your interested.

11.01.2022 1936 Kalamazoo KG11. Serial No. 560B. Ebony nut removed, headstock stripped. Neck reshot to straighten concaved bow and refretted. Respraying back'n'sides and neck to cover rib crack repairs and prepare for new headstock logo.

10.01.2022 Back in March I came across this little gem in need of a full restoration. 1936 Kalamazoo KG11. Rear braces delaminated, end block split, requiring neck reset and reshooting the fingerboard (no truss rod), headstock logo delaminating as well as body lacquer. Yet I thought it a worthy project to tackle as this was pre-war great depression era authenticity. BTW Robert Johnson played a Kalamazoo KG14. Big wide V shaped neck, ebony nut and tapered headstock. Bridge had been reglued and bolted (aagh) and top was bellied. .....and here the story begins. Back removed and rear braces refitted and glued.
