15.01.2022 What a night! The biggest Sunday crowd ever, and so much dancing fun. We are going to keep the momentum going and will be dancing again next Sunday(mothers' Day). So take mum to breakfast or lunch (or let the kids take you), and then spend the evening with us at Toukley RSL.

13.01.2022 We have had confirmation from Toukley RSL (Now known as "The ARY") That Mojive can return to the club in the same format as previously, beginning in the New Year. So doors will open and music on at 6pm. A rotational class will run from 6.45 until approx. 7.30 pm, followed by and hour of social dancing, all for $8.00. The first class will be on Sunday 10th January with Roy and Lyn on stage for a lesson to jog our memories of what Modern Jive is all about. Obvious rules will include - Use hand sanitiser and don't attend if you are feeling unwell, but our great efforts to eradicate the virus in NSW and particularly on the central coast have paid dividends. See you on the dance floor.
12.01.2022 OK! We can't dance but we can get together. As many of you will know, Les plays music at Canton Beach Club on Wednesday Nights (Not this week because of Last Origin Football Game) But he will be back next week and each Wednesday until Xmas. We suggest that on Wed 9th December We all turn up for a Xmas get together. Music is on 7pm til 9pm, maybe they will stretch it that night. There is a restaurant at the club, so make your own arrangements if you would like dinner as we don't want to frighten them with a huge and possibly illegal booking. This is your chance to catch up with dance friends, that have not been together since MoJive closed in March, and celebrate the Xmas season with good company.<------>
11.01.2022 Ok! Tonight Mojivers are heading to Canton Beach Club for a bit of a get together. Best to arrive by 6ish if you want some dinner at the club before music starts (7pm til 9pm). A few changes since we first mentioned this. Les is no longer doing the music so it may be a bit more Rock and Roll than Modern Jive. That did not matter much before as we were not allowed to dance. As we know dancing is now allowed but there is still conflicting advice about staying with one partner or rotating. We will have to be guided by the clubs rules and respect the choices of individuals if they prefer not to dance with other partners. Anyway come and have some fun with your dance friends, see you there.
10.01.2022 We are going to Wyong Bowlo tonight to see Andrew Godbolt, always good fun and some good tunes for a dance. Then on Sunday night we are back at Toukley RSL for Mojive. Music is on at 6.00pm class at 6.45, so come early if you are new to Modern Jive and we will give you some help for the class. As we have been off the floor for a year and then had to miss last week for ANZAC Day, we are thinking that we will also be open on Mothers' Day (9th May) so see your mum at lunch time then join us for a dance.
05.01.2022 Well! Back in February, before we were aware of how this year was going to turn out a number of MoJive Dancers booked a weekend away at the Caravan Park at Shoal Bay, Port Stephens. Before it happened the world was hit with the Virus and we all got a refund and a few months at home. Now things are starting to lighten up and several of us have booked again. Some in their Caravans and some of us in the cabins on site. There are still vacancies for different accommodation so why... don't you join us. Some are staying from 4th February for 4 nights, some from 5th February for 3 nights. (3Nights is minimum but 3rd night is half price). 04.01.2022 A few of us headed to Wyong Bowling Club tonight to listen to some music, have a chat and a catch up. No dancing yet but should be back real soon. Nice Malayan/Asian restaurant in the club, good food and good prices.
