07.01.2022 Aside from Swift Meats providing a fantastic range of meat to our wonderful customers, we also believe we have an outstanding group of staff. So much so, we thought wed mention just what one of our staff members Is up to. Not only does butcher/salesman Michael Scamp deal with our commercial meat customers, he also deals with being treated for MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Just after Michael and his partner, Amanda (pictured above with Michael), moved over the Straight to our be...autiful part of paradise, he encountered a few health issues that were eventually diagnosed as MS. Blessed with a beautiful partner and stunning little daughter, Michael decided to fight this issue head on. In between looking after his customers, he has decided to walk from Launceston Town Hall to Greens Beach (60 kilometres) non-stop and raise funds for MS research. So, this is the bit where you lovely customers come in. Do you feel like supporting him? As per the photo, Michael accesses treatment every six months, which is a great help in dealing with this challenge. In between assisting customers, he is training for this walk which will challenge him even further. And what would be super encouraging for Michael, and his family, would be to know that we Tasmanians applaud his strength-of-character, and are supporting his efforts to end MS, while making life better for us all.
