25.01.2022 Have you ever suffered from major cramps during and/or at the end of a workout? Do you know the right foods to stop cramps from interfering with your killer workout? Well I'm here to give you the good news and answers to these question!... What is a Cramp? What causes Cramping? A muscle cramp is an uncontrollable and painful spasm of a muscle. The exact cause of cramp is unknown but risk factors may include poor physical condition, mineral and electrolyte imbalances and tight, inflexible muscles. This morning one of my clients experienced major cramping in his calves which in turn ended up going to his back. At the session he asked me if there was any foods that help with muscle cramping. Yes there are supplements that can definitely do the job, but if you are like him, you don't want to take supplements and get everything from food, eat the following foods before and/or after a workout. 07.01.2022 So the past 2 weeks have been extremely full on for Mobility Fitness, lots and lots of new things in the works. As some of you may not know we are now at a new home, Casey Race Cranbourne, and things are definitely building! New clients are coming on board and new sessions are in the wood works. We are now offering Group PT Bootcamp sessions (like Bootcamp but better) and HIIT Classes! Its amazing to see that we are already having interest into these 2 Group PT classes. So I...f you are a member of Casey Race or know of any members of Casey Race please let them know of this amazing news!! But to the actual topic of this post!! As I said before things have been INSANE!! Which in turn has meant that there has been lots of late nights and early mornings which means...... Lack of Sleep!! But what does lack of and/or no sleep do to your health and your body?? Lack of sleep is highly detrimental to your health in so many ways, for example, if you are not getting enough sleep you are increasing your risk of developing heart disease and/or having a stroke, decrease Glucose Metabolism and increase the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes, increased risk of developing depression, increased risk of developing inflammation in the body, effect concentration and productivity and worst of all make you FAT!! Its been a big eye opener for me to learn this and realize that I myself have experienced a few of these issues of late and I am now acting on this and trying to take a small step back and look after myself.
