23.01.2022 last time i did a shoot at this location i set the cameras up and went home, returning in the morning. When going through the pics i see someone walk past my d8...50 (which was running in electronic shutter mode and not making any noise), lucky they didn’t see it. This time i took my chair and sat there for 7 hours. 491x40sec, f4 iso640. D850 & Sigma 14-24. Lake Eppalock, Vic. See more

23.01.2022 The Three Sisters rock formation -Blue mountains NSW Australia The Legend of the three sisters Three sisters, Meenhi, Wimlah and Gunnedoo had a father who was ...a witch doctor. His name was Tyawan. Long ago there was a Bunyip who lived in a deep hole who was feared by all. Passing the hole was considered very dangerous, therefore whenever Tyawan had to pass the hole in search for food, he would leave his daughters safely on the cliff behind a rocky wall. One fateful day, Tyawan waved goodbye to his daughters and descended down the cliff steps into the valley. Meanwhile at the top of the cliff, Meenhi was frightened by a large centipede which suddenly appeared before her. Meenhi took a stone and threw it at the centipede. The stone continued on its journey and rolled over the cliff, crashing into the valley below which angered the Bunyip. The rocky wall behind Meenhi, Wimlah and Gunnedoo then began to split open and the three sisters were left stranded on a thin ledge at the top of the cliff. All the birds, animals and fairies stopped still as the Bunyip emerged to see the terrified girls. As the Bunyip began to approach the girls, to protect them from harm, their father Tyawan used his magic bone to turn them into stone. Angered by this, the Bunyip then began to chase Tyawan. Becoming trapped, in order to flee from the Bunyip, Tyawan changed into a magnificent Lyre Bird, yet in the process dropped his magic bone. Tyawan and his three daughters were now safe from the Bunyip. Once the Bunyip had disappeared, Tyawan returned in search of his magic bone, yet this was never to be found. The Lyre Bird has been searching for this magic bone ever since. Remaining in rock formation, The Three Sisters stand silently overlooking the valley hoping that one day he'll find the bone and turn them back to their former selves. When visiting The Three Sisters, if you listen carefully you may be able to hear the Lyre Bird, Tyawan, as he continues his quest for his lost magic. See more

08.01.2022 The emphasis for this Austin Street residential project is on space and light. The existing single level house with dark interiors has been transformed into an ...attractive two-storey family home filled with an abundance of natural light. An internal staircase filters natural light through to the ground floor level, and the overly high ceilings to the open plan living area add further to the sense of space. The now very modern home includes four bedrooms, a study, separate guest house, three internal living spaces and adjoining the new pool is an undercover alfresco area for all year round entertaining which also includes a rooftop garden. Breezway Louvre Windows have been designed to bring natural light, air and a sense of space into any building design, therefore are an ideal window choice for this project. They have been used extensively throughout the floorplan to help maintain a comfortable living environment all year round. This project won the Architectural Window Systems (AWS) Industry Partner Award at the 2019 Building Designers Association of Australia Awards. 07.01.2022 One of my favourite places

07.01.2022 A couple of months ago, I caught up with Kerry and Ian Satchwell to talk about how their home renovation won the National Greensmart Energy Efficiency Award. ... The house is beautiful, and has some pretty amazing quirks - but the best part is, they've held onto the integrity of an old Darwin troppo house. Dan Stephenson from La Perouse Homes helped make it all happen - and provided work for more than 300 people during the renovation. It's a wonderful small business success story - that proves that anything is possible right here in the Territory. #boundlesspossible

01.01.2022 1940’s Post War House #2 George and Sarah were thrilled to be using the COLORBOND steel Matt range for most of the exterior surfaces of their build. Having the... tallest rear extension on The Block, the exterior cladding made from COLORBOND steel Matt is a major part of their streetscape appeal and the selections the couple made here have really allowed their house to stand out amongst the others. To pay homage to the period, the original house features a traditional corrugated roof, but with a modern twist in the selection of the colour. COLORBOND steel Colour and Design Consultant, Christine McCoy along with The Block architect, Julian Brenchley, chose COLORBOND steel Matt in the colour Surfmist because of its flexibility. Surfmist Matt is continued into the extension and Sarah and George couldn’t have been more thrilled with the result. Said George, I remember that moment distinctly when we came back from the break and walked out to see this vertical, pitched, amazing line of cladding. It was beautiful. We just stood there and took a moment to admire it.
