25.01.2022 The month of May is always a popular month for weddings, just out of the heat of summer, and not too cold. I assisted four wonderful couplesto tie the knot, ready to begin the next chapter of their lives. First wedding for the month was a couple who just wanted a very short ceremony at Robelle Park at Springfield Lakes. They were off on a cruise straight after the ceremony, and had their closest family friends and their puppies there to celebrate their wedding before going ...off on their honeymoon. I then went to Brighton on the beach to conduct a wedding for a couple who wed with the beautiful beach as a background for their wedding. The Pan Peace Gardens in Redbank was the next venue for this couple who incorporated the Lovers Lock Ceremony in their ceremony. This ceremony idea has that something a little bit different. Love Locks are a custom by which sweethearts lock padlocks together and affix to the Tree of Life. We then attached the keys to balloons and released them into the air. Last wedding for the month was held at a private home at Loganholme, where the brides mother and father turned their backyard into a beautiful wedding setting. Congratulations to all my lovely couples, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your wedding day, and I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

24.01.2022 Christmas 2016 is now over, and the New Year has started, how quickly the last three months of 2016 have sped by. Over the last three months I have had a wonderful time conducting weddings for twelve lovely couples. A trip to Manly was a lovely way to spend a Saturday, and that is where we traveled to when we wed a beautiful couple at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron at Manly. Byron Bay was also on the list, and Luke and Hillary tied the knot at a private home, under ...a beautiful old tree. And then back to Ipswich where Samantha and James chose to marry at their home with their close family and friends present. Mt Ommaney Hotel Apartments was the next venue I visited, and under a cloudy sky we completed the wedding without the rain starting. Last wedding for the month of October was held at the Alexander Clark Park, Loganholme under a beautiful old tree. Close family and friends were in attendance to see this couple wed. In November, I traveled to Mt Tamborine to wed a couple at St Bernards Hotel, under lovely clear skies. Springfield Lakes is always a great place to hold a wedding down by the water, and the perfect spot for Jasmine and Anthony to hold their wedding. Carley and Sam chose to marry at a private residence at Gatton, and Moores Pocket was a lovely place for Alex and Max to hold their wedding, under a big shady tree. Decembers weddings began with Yvonne and Sean who chose the beautiful Kholo Gardens Chapel at Muirlea, with the next couple choosing their home at Plainlands for their nuptials. The last wedding of the year was conducted at a private residence in Middle Ridge, Toowoomba on the last day of the year. So, I wish all my lovely couple, I wish you all the best for your future happiness!! It was an honour to be your celebrant on your wedding day!! See more

24.01.2022 September weddings are very popular, weather is not too hot and not too cold, but sometimes can be a little wet, as some of my couples found out on their wedding day. The eight couples I had the honour of marrying all enjoyed fantastic weddings regardless of the weather. Nakita and Brendan were wed at Froggys Beach at Coolangatta on a beautiful sunny day. It is a quiet secluded beach located between Snapper Rocks and Point Danger. Nakita made a stunning entrance walking d...own the broad walk from the top of the hill. We then went to Tavenetta Function Centre to join in the celebrations for Kitty and Tonys wedding. Their wedding was a traditional Hindu wedding with included many rituals, including tying of the nuptial know, circling of the holy fire and taking the seven steps. I then completed the ceremony with the legal wedding and ring ceremony. I was honoured to be part of their special day and witness their wonderful wedding. Robert and Orie chose New Farm Park to wed in the gazebo with the beautiful gardens as a background for their wedding. Close family and friends joined them, and although the rain did fall, the gazebo sheltered us till the end of the ceremony. The Vibe Hotel, Surfers Paradise was the next venue for Samantha and Roberts wedding. They included a lovely Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony remembering those who could not be with them on their wedding day. Marylu and Barry chose the parklands at Warner Park for their wedding. Close family and friends ensured their wedding day was full of fun and laughter. They included a Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony in their ceremony. The parklands at Warner Park were again used for Fiona and Marks wedding, with just close family and friends and of course their beautiful puppy enjoying their wedding day. Cherbon Waters in Burbank was the next venue for Jessica and Brendans wedding. Jessicas aunty made her wedding dresses as well as the bridesmaids dresses and her sister-in-law performed the task as hairdresser for the day. They included the Candle Lighting Ceremony in their wedding ceremony, where two candles, representing the couple as individuals, are used to light a single centre candle as a visible symbol of their commitment to each other. The rain did sprinkle during the ceremony, with a beautiful rainbow appearing just after the ceremony. The last wedding for the month was Samantha and Saugat, who were married at Mango Hill. Rain and hail could not keep this couple from enjoying a wonderful wedding with their immediate family and friends present to enjoy the day. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

23.01.2022 I recently conducted a wedding at Merrimac. There is a quaint little chapel there called the Braeside Chapel and this is where one couple chose to hold their wedding, overlooking the lovely gardens. They chose to include two rituals in their wedding one being the Photography Ceremony. They each had their own vintage cameras, and they wanted to share a piece of advice from what they discovered taking millions of photos. As they took photos of each other, they recite...d the following reading, hopefully the photographs they will took on their wedding day will remind them of how beautiful today was. Life is like a camera, just focus on whats important, and capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things dont work out, just take another shot. Another ritual that was included was the Time Capsule Ritual. In the time capsule they placed a candle, and a letter addressed to the future from each to the other. Should they ever find their marriage facing hardships, they will open this time capsule, sit and light the candle, and then read the letters they wrote to one another to be reminded of the reasons why they are together. Rituals are a wonderful inclusion to a wedding, they can be something personal or something that relates to their family heritage. As you can see this couple loved taking photos, so a great way to add something a little special to their wedding. Congratulations to a great couple!!

22.01.2022 I love getting to weddings early it was great to get to the Abbey at Tweed Heads and just sit in the beautiful outdoor chapel near the lake and relax. A relaxing way to prepare for a wedding ceremony!!

22.01.2022 September is always a popular month for weddings, and it was just that for eight lovely couples I had the pleasure of marrying!! I also conducted a beautiful naming ceremony for a cute little baby girl!! Tamborine Mountains is a charming spot for a wedding and the Tamborine Gardens Wedding Resort, Tamborine is full of wonderful areas to wed. This couple decided to include the lovely sand ceremony in their ceremony, including their two lovely children in the ceremony. Home w...eddings are so popular these days, and three couples did just that, and exchanged their vows in lovely back yard settings with their close family and friends present. I conducted a wedding for a couple on the beach at the Gold Coast. With only a couple of people present to witness their nuptials, it was a beautiful way to tie the knot. Boulevard Gardens was the venue for one couple who included their children in their bridal party. A lovely family wedding!! Seventeen Mile Rocks Park and the Victoria Park Golf Complex are beautiful venues for weddings, as two couples chose to wed on wonderful sunny days. I also conducted a delightful naming ceremony for a beautiful little girl at the Chapel at Kholo Gardens, Murilea. The ceremony included a couple of lovely poems (Child of my Child and Wishes for my Child), and paid tribute to grandparents who pass on many cultural values to their grandchildren. Of course, Godparents are very important in a childs life, and the two people chosen for this role will have a special place in their godchild's life. A lovely inclusion in the ceremony was the Rose Ceremony, where different coloured rose petals (white, yellow, pink and red) are used to signify innocence, love, friendship, and compassion. To complete the ceremony, butterflies were released with the poem to follows:- May the wings of a butterfly kiss the sun, and find your shoulder to light on, to bring you luck, happiness and riches, today, tomorrow and beyond. (Anon) So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, and of course, the beautiful baby girl, I wish you all the best for your future happiness! See more

22.01.2022 Conducted another beautiful wedding last weekend, held in Toowoomba, the weather was just perfect, and the couple released lots of balloons to end their ceremony of the Lovers Lock Ritual. Congratulations to a great couple, have a wonderful life.

21.01.2022 Well, what a great start to the year, and what a very hot one!! It is great to begin the year with the marriage of a Belinda and Peter at Indooroopilly and Sarah and Karl at Ipswich. Belinda and Peter chose to be wed at Boulevard Gardens at Indooroopilly. The secluded garden atmosphere was perfect for their wedding. Belinda and Peter chose to include a Lovers Lock Ceremony in their wedding ceremony. Love locks are a custom by which sweethearts lock padlocks together. Th...ey then tied the lock keys to helium balloons and released them into the sky in a lovely Balloon Release Ceremony at the end of the ceremony. They are then left with a beautiful memento of their wedding day. Sarah and Karl chose the beautiful gardens at Kholo Gardens for their ceremony. The rain threatened to pour down all afternoon, but the skies cleared just as Sarah was to walk down the aisle. Sarah and Karl chose to include a Candle Lighting Remembrance Ceremony in their wedding ceremony. In this ceremony, candles are lit in remembrance of passed loved ones who cannot be with the couple and their family and friends on their wedding day, but are still remembered on their wedding day. The mothers of Sarah and Karl lit two candles, and they stayed lit throughout the ceremony. It was a beautiful inclusion in their wedding ceremony. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, thank you so much for asking me to be part of your wedding day, and I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

21.01.2022 Well, all weddings for 2015 are now completed, with the last two weddings conducted on the 31 December 2015. What a fabulous year it has been, and it has been wonderful to be part of so many happy weddings. It was a pleasure to marry five couples in July. Two couples chose their home for the wedding venue, with just close family and friends present. Next to marry were Serena and Daniel who were married in the pagoda at Dreveson Park in Manly with just close friends present.... Sheldron and Karl chose the Tramway Museum in Ferny Grove for their wedding. They were married in the tram, with relatives from England being present for their special day. Sheldron recited the poem Yes, I will marry you, my dear by Pam Ayres, before they recited their vows. They included a Ring Warming Ceremony, were all the guests were asked to touch and bless the rings before they were given back to the couple to complete the ceremony. They decorated the tram with lots of flowers, and later on, guests could take a ride in the tram. The last couple were wed at the Evolution Apartment Hotel in Brisbane. A small intimate ceremony was what they wanted for their special day, and with their close family and friends present. So, congratulations to all my lovely couples I had the honour of marrying in December. I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

20.01.2022 October is always a popular month for weddings, and it was just that for nine lovely couples I had the pleasure of marrying!! I also conducted a beautiful naming ceremony for a cute little baby girl!! Alexandra Park Conference Centre in Alexandra Headlands for my first wedding of the month. This is a unique venue for weddings with a bush chapel and tranquil bushland setting, and just the right place for my first couple to tie the knot. My next couple chose Apex Park, Br...ibie Island for their special day. They chose their own wedding vows, a very special reminder of their love and commitment on their wedding day. Rebekah and Nicholas were the next couple I had the honour of marrying, they married at the bush chapel at Pan Pacific Peace Gardens at Redbank, the weather was perfect, and their daughter looked gorgeous as their special flower girl on their wedding day. Jamie and Latu decided on a small intimate ceremony at home, and chose to wear traditional wedding attire according to their family customs. Close family and friends enjoyed the ceremony and a pleasant afternoon with the happy couple. A private home was the next venue for the wedding of Tarni and John. The back yard was transformed into a wonderful wedding venue, complete with olden day charm. A birthday party was chosen as a surprise wedding for my next couple who chose to surprise their guests who had been invited to a birthday party, but ended up enjoying a wonderful wedding held under a beautiful tree at their property. A private home was chosen for this next intimate wedding. Although a small wedding, it was just right for this couple. Old Petrie Town is a wonderful place for a wedding and my next couple chose to be married under the beautiful fig tree. The groom serenaded his bride as she walked down the aisle, a wonderful way to remember their wedding day. Butterflies were released at the end of the ceremony. The last wedding ceremony for the month was held at Sea World Resort under the pagoda. They included a candle lighting and rose ceremony in their wedding ceremony. I also conducted a delightful naming ceremony for a beautiful little one year old girl. The ceremony included a couple of lovely poems (Child of my Child and Lessons for Children to Learn), and paid tribute to grandparents who pass on many cultural values to their grandchildren. Of course, Godparents are very important in a childs life, and the two people chosen for this role will have a special place in their godchild's life. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, and of course, the beautiful baby girl, I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

19.01.2022 Another weekend is nearly over, but the memories will linger on for a wonderful couple I had the honour of pronouncing "husband and wife". Athough the rain came down, it did not dampen the spirits of bride and groom or guests, with a ceremony that had a lovely poem included called "These are the keys to a lasting relationship" (author unknown). They also included a Love Locks Ceremony. Love locks are a custom by which sweethearts lock padlocks together and affix them to a c...hain joined together in a never ending circle. A unique ceremony idea using love heart shaped padlocks with your names and special date engraved on them. We then completed the ceremony with a Balloon Release Ceremony, releasing their keys from their Love Locks into the air. What a great way to finish a wedding ceremony. Congratulations to a great couple!!

19.01.2022 Was great working with all the people who made the day perfect.

19.01.2022 Conducted three great weddings this weekend, congratulations to Melanie and Blaz, Stacey and Grant, and Naydine and Aaron.

17.01.2022 Been a very busy time lately - summer weddings are very popular, but also very hot this year. The Bush Chapel In Queens Park Ipswich is a lovely place to hold a wedding, pleasant surroundings and a shady tree to congregate under. Congratulations Anna and Mark, great day. The Rose Garden at Waterford is another ideal setting, the rotunda is a pretty place to hold a wedding and great for photos. ... Always a pleasure to conduct weddings at home, and this one was a little different, held the ceremony under a lovely shady tree in their back yard, with the signing table the hood of their Hilux Ute. Congratulations to a great couple.

17.01.2022 Wow, how fast the months are speeding by, and November was a month where I had the pleasure of marrying eight couples. A very hot month, with lots of storms around, but thankfully all weddings were over before the storms hit. Some couples just want a simple but romantic wedding without all the readings and rituals that other couples may prefer for their wedding ceremony. I conducted two weddings for couples who just wanted just that, and although they were very short romant...ic ceremonies, the couples were happy. Other couples wanted to have a lovely romantic wedding with just their children and close family and friends present. Back yards can be turned into wonderful wedding venues. Two couples from Munruban and Brightview decided to decorate their back yard with lots of lights, candles and flowers. Ipswich is the home of the beautiful Queens Park. Nestled there amongst the trees is the Bush Chapel, and this was the venue for a small but beautiful wedding on a fine November day, with just the couple and close friends present. I have conducted a couple of weddings at Bullocky West, and it was just perfect for one couple to be wed overlooking the dam. Minden Retreat is a wonderful place for a wedding. It is a beautiful setting for a wedding with lots of olden day charm. This couple chose to say their own personal vows, and with their two boys in attendance, it was a lovely family wedding. With over eighty guests attending, we were all grateful to complete the wedding before the rain came down. For the last wedding for the month I went to Pacific Pines Golf Club at Carindale. Colourful umbrellas were used to protect the guests from the hot November sun. This couple wanted to include poems and prayers in their ceremony, so it was quite a long wedding ceremony, with one of their guests saying a prayer for them to complete the ceremony. Congratulations to all my lovely couples, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your wedding day, and I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

17.01.2022 Wedding ceremonies are always a lot of fun, and I love to create ceremonies which reflect how the couple feel and what they would like for their special wedding ceremony. Some couples just want a small intimate wedding ceremony, and others want some readings or rituals included in their ceremony. A lovely ritual which can be included is the Sand Ceremony. Here is a sample of a sand ceremony.... "The sand ceremony represents the blending of your lives, the end of ME and the beginning of WE. As these containers of sand are poured into the big container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be. There are thousands of grains of sand here, each representing the days and moments you will spend together. Some grains are bigger than others, some days bigger than other. Throughout your life together you will have many feelings, but the greatest of all will be love and love will always be a part of every day for you. As the grains become mixed together they will never be able to be separated, just as you will never be separated, to live together until the end of time." So, next time you are thinking of something different, consider including a sand ceremony!

17.01.2022 May can sometimes be a cold month for weddings, but the weddings I conducted in May were all held in beautiful weather. My first couple were married at the bride's parents house in Forestdale. It was just a lovely afternoon, the rain threatened, but kept away for the ceremony. The Japanese Gardens in Toowoomba was the next venue for this couples wedding, down by the water, the couple included the Lovelocks Ceremony and released balloons at the end of the ceremony. Truly l...ovely!! Completed the day with a visit to Kingston to marry a couple in their home. Great day all round. Next was a wedding at the beautiful Alawara Mansion, at Tallai at the Gold Coast. Family and friends enjoyed the day in perfect sunshine. Last for the month was a wedding at Stockleigh at a private home, lots of family and friends to help them make their day special. It was a pleasure and honour to be part of your special day. Congratulations to all the couples who wed in the month of May!!

17.01.2022 What a fabulous start to the year 2017, and it has been wonderful to be part of so many happy weddings. It was a pleasure to conduct wedding ceremonies for several couples in their back yards. They had lots of fun turning their back yard into a wonderful wedding venue and reception area. Some couples chose to marry on the beach, from Kings Beach at Caloundra, to the beach at Bribie Island, and one couple choosing Cosy Corner, Tallow Beach at Byron Bay. Ipswich was a favour...ite venue for some couples, with weddings held at Kholo Gardens both in the gardens and in the chapel, and the Bush Chapel in Queens Park. Another favourite place for couples to wed is the golf clubs; I wed one couple in a chapel on the grounds of the Robina Golf Club, and another couple on the wonderful grounds of the golf club at Virginia. Some other places I visited to conduct weddings were the gardens at Mt Tamborine, Benowa Botanic Gardens at the Gold Coast, and New Farm Park in New Farm. So, congratulations to all my lovely couples I had the honour of marrying. I wish you all the best for your future happiness!! See more

16.01.2022 Another month has sped by, June weddings are always a worry because it can be quite cold, but all the weddings I conducted were held with just a hint of crispness in the air. First was Monish and Radhika. They were married at Indians Brothers Restaurant in Clontarf. They were both dressed in traditional wedding clothes the wedding was held at night so everything sparkled. It was quite a long wedding, with blessings from their priest and a candle lighting ceremony rememb...ering past loved ones, and included lovely readings and poems which added that special touch to their wedding. The next wedding I conducted was at McLeod Country Golf Club. The weather looked a little stormy, but we completed the ceremony without a drop of rain. The wedding venue is surrounded by beautiful gardens with the golf club lawns in the background. A beautiful setting for a lovely couple. Sasha and Christian were married at their home in Browns Plains. They decided on a small intimate wedding with just close family present, and decorated their wedding area with lots of candles. As the wedding was held at night, it was truly a magic setting. Vinnie and Amie were married in a quiet ceremony in Bracken Ridge. They did not want a large wedding and were happy with their friends present to enjoy the afternoon with them. Next I went to Mermaid Waters Quality Inn, were Kasey and Martin were married the rain did come down that day so wedding was moved inside, the venue workers worked hard to create a beautiful setting for the wedding, but this young couple did not care about the rain, as they only had eyes for each other. Last wedding for the month was held at Underwood Park, Priestdale. This couple also wanted only close family and friends and their midday wedding was just perfect, where I conducted the wedding in the pagoda, beside the lake. Congratulations to all my lovely couples, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your wedding day, and I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

16.01.2022 Had the pleasure of marrying Pat and Caitlyn at Boulevard Gardens Indooroopilly. Great couple, great day!!

16.01.2022 One of the great things about being a wedding celebrant is the wonderful places I get to go to, sometimes to a private home to conduct a wedding in their back yard, or perhaps to the wonderful Australian bush. A couple of weekends ago, I had the honour of conducting two weddings on the one day, one in Camp Mountain near Samford, and the other in Allenview near Beaudesert. The morning wedding was a couple who were married at a private home at Camp Mountain; the outlook from th...eir back yard was spectacular. This couple did not have to go anywhere else for the photos, as their photographer took all their photos around the property, and the views were just stunning. They completed their ceremony with the release of two white doves, a wonderful way to end the ceremony. I then travelled out to Beaudesert where I conducted a wedding for Kristie and Mark on a property on Barnes Road at Allenview. The area where they were married is true Australian bush, and conducting the ceremony under a wonderful old tree was a great way to end the day. Congratulations to all my wonderful couples I have the honour of marrying!! See more

15.01.2022 Just completed the last two weddings for the year. Had a fantastic year, and conducted weddings in private homes, parks, gardens, chapels and on the beach. Enjoyed every one of them!! Looking forward to the new year. Happy new year.

14.01.2022 Rain Hail or Shine, weddings do continue. Spent a lovely couple of hours at Coolum Resort where a great young couple tied the knot, then off to Caboolture and Waterford West to complete a couple of weddings which were conducted in private homes. No matter where you get married, or what type of weather it is, all weddings are romantic, and full of fun!!

11.01.2022 June and July, what lovely months for weddings, even though they say it is in the middle of winter, our days were mostly beautiful and warm. It seems backyard ceremonies are a great way to tie the knot, and I wed three lovely couples in their gardens, with close family and friends present to celebrate their wedding. Logan West Gardens at Hillcrest are always a popular place to hold a wedding, and one couple chose that venue to say their vows in front of their family and fri...ends. Beach weddings are a great way to spend an afternoon, as two couples at the Sunshine Coast decided that a the beach wedding was the perfect way to gather their family and friends together to wed on the beach. Last wedding of the month was held at Walston Park Golf Club at Goodna. This couple chose a great poem called Real Love by Kim Cockerell to be included in their ceremony. So, congratulations to all my lovely couples I had the honour of marrying in June and July. I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

11.01.2022 Well, another month has sped by, but what a great month it was for weddings and baby namings. My first couple chose Joncia Gardens in Logan Reserve for their special day. There is a lovely chapel there, and just the right place for my first couple to tie the knot. The weather was just perfect, and as always, the gardens were splendid. They included a wonderful sand ceremony in their ceremony, a great way to remember their wedding day. When they decided to marry, they w...ant to capture part of their wedding and literally bottle it forever. They wanted something really meaningful that could put on display that would remind them always of their special day. And the Sand Ceremony was the perfect ritual to show their love and the joining the two families into one. Ashleigh and James were the next couple I had the honour of marrying, they married on the beach at Burleigh Heads, the weather was perfect, and the ceremony included their own special vows. Old Petrie Town is a wonderful place for a wedding and the next couple chose to be married under the beautiful fig tree. The groom looked spectacular in a kilt and his best man and groomsmen joined him as well as many of the guests. The bride walked in to the beautiful music of the bagpipes, a wonderful way to remember their wedding day. Next were Lynda and Peter. They chose to go to Bali to have a wonderful commitment ceremony prior to their wedding day, and then completed their wedding plans with a small ceremony in Redcliffe, overlooking the wonderful beach scenery with just close family and friends present. My next wedding was a couple who chose the Flying Duck pagoda overlooking the lovely waterfalls and gardens Roma Street Parkland for their wedding. Their intimate ceremony with just close friends and family was just perfect. Mick and Mayumi decided to marry beside the pool at home, with their beautiful puppy bringing in the rings. Close family and friends enjoyed the ceremony and a pleasant afternoon with the happy couple. Last ceremony of the month was a wonderful naming ceremony for Quinn. His parents just wanted something small and intimate, and as Quinns grandmother had travelled from New Zealand to visit her son and his family, they took the opportunity to celebrate Quinns Naming Ceremony. The ceremony included a couple of lovely poems (Through Babys Eyes, and Wishes), and paid tribute to Quinns grandparents who pass on many cultural values to their grandchildren. Of course, Godparents are very important in a childs life, and the four people chosen for this role will have a special place in Quinns life. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, and of course, baby Quinn, I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

10.01.2022 Well, another month has sped by, but what a great month it was for weddings. One would think August would be too cold for weddings, but the days were just lovely. I had the pleasure of marrying Bree and Kyle at Haigh Park Lake Moogerah. The view was just lovely, and Bree surprised everyone her dress which was all colours of the rainbow, and a Mad Hatters Hat added just for fun. Her ceremony had lots of sayings and readings from some of the well-known movies from Walt Disn...ey - Bambi, The Little Mermaid, and many more. I traveled to Warwick to marry Ashley and Georgia in the beautiful Abbey of the Roses Chapel, and to Boulevard Gardens Indooroopilly and the lovely Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens for two more lovely couples weddings. Peita and Steven chose to marry at Sunset Blue Wedding Venue at Scarborough. There were also a couple of great home weddings, with the bride and groom choosing to tie the knot in a garden atmosphere. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, I wish you all the best for your future happiness!! See more

10.01.2022 Weddings in April are always fun, had quite a bit of rain, but luckily all weddings were on beautiful fine days. Also conducted a naming ceremony, lots of fun with family and friends. First up was a couple who wed in their back yard, they worked exceptionally hard to transform it after the rains, but it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon, complete with their puppy dog in attendance. Next were a great couple who tied the knot at Key West in Brisbane City, what a lovely se...tting for a wedding, opposite the Botanical Gardens. And with their children in attendance, it was a lovely family affair. Windaroo Cottage was the setting for the next wedding, the chapel is an ideal place for a wedding. Bride and groom had lots of family and friends to help them make their special day even more wonderful. Last wedding for the month was a surprise wedding for their guests, who thought they were coming to a birthday party and found it was actually a wedding!! Their back hard was transformed into a wonderful wedding reception area, and the rain stayed away which was great. Congratulations to all the couples who wed in April. I thoroughly enjoyed every wedding and it was a pleasure and honour to be their celebrant on their wedding day.

07.01.2022 My, what a busy month March was, lots of beautiful brides and handsome grooms tying the knot. First wedding was held at Centenary Lakes at Caboolture, perfect weather for Samara and Kierans wedding. They wrote their own personal vows, adding that special touch to their wedding ceremony. Next came Jessica and Ben at Jindalee Bowls Club, they did a lot of work at the Club adding their own special touches to the wedding venue to make sure their wedding day was just perfect.... Renee and Cameron were married at The Abbey at Tweed Heads, Renee laughed all through the ceremony, and the guitarist and singer added that special touch to the day. They also wrote their own vows, and added a Lovelocks Ceremony to the ceremony. They completed their ceremony with a wonderful Balloon Ceremony, sending their keys from their Lovelock up to the sky. Great finish to a wonderful day. Customs House in Brisbane was the venue for the wedding of Simon and Kathleen; it was great that Kathleens mum and dad were there to share in their fun. Kholo Gardens was the next setting for Jessica and Tim. Again, the weather was just perfect, down by the water, just lovely. The wedding party were all in red, with lots of the guests wearing red also. Then off to Montville for Laura and Bens wedding. Although it looked like it might rain, the day turned out perfectly. The Bush Chapel was the next setting for a lovely family wedding with Carlo and Naree. I was married 42 years ago on their wedding day so a wonderful anniversary day for both my husband Bob and myself. A great end to a wonderful day. Last but not least was the wedding of Lesley and Robert at Moreton Bay Boat Club. Although it was a very wet day to start with, the skies cleared and with the wedding taking place on the deck overlooking the water, it was just perfect. So, although it was a big month conducting lots of weddings, it was a pleasure to be part of their wedding day. Congratulations to all.

05.01.2022 July, what a lovely month for weddings, and yes, a little cold, but most days were beautiful and warm. It was a pleasure to marry four couples in July. Trisha and Malcolm were married at their home at Lowood. They wanted just close family and friends, and the sun shone out for their wedding, on their front lawn, with the Lowood countryside in the background. Sarah and Julian were next, and they were married at Mt Coot-tha Gardens. The gardens are just amazing, so many wo...nderful trees and plants all around. They also just wanted close family and friends, so a lovely intimate ceremony was held amongst the greenery of the gardens. Nicole and Benjamin were married at the Lions Lookout at Queens Park in Ipswich. They were married in the rotunda overlooking Ipswich town, great place to hold a wedding. Lastly were Richard and Jennifer. I conducted their ceremony at a park in Everton Hills. A small intimate ceremony was what they wanted for their special day, and with their close family and friends, it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. So, congratulations to all my lovely couples I had the honour of marrying in July. I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

04.01.2022 I recently conducted a wedding at Spicers Hidden Vale at Grandchester. The setting for the wedding overlooked the beautiful Australian bush. This couple chose to include a candle lighting ceremony to remember those who could not be with them on their wedding day. By lighting a candle, the couple honour the love and support they have received from their family, and remember how precious life is. As the candle is lit, the celebrant says the following words:-... Although we cant see you, we know you are here. Smiling down, watching over us, as we say I Do. Forever in our hearts, forever in our lives, And so we say our vows, in loving memory of you. There is another candle lighting ceremony, where the couple light a candle to signify the joining of the two families. Both ceremonies are a wonderful addition to a wedding ceremony.

03.01.2022 Well, another month has just sped by, dont know where the days go!! However, I had the privilege of conducting four beautiful weddings in February! Corey and Lai were the first ones for the month, and they chose to wed at The Knoll at Mt Tamborine. They completed their ceremony with the release of two white doves. The release of doves in ceremonies extends the message of peace, the celebration of life, and the expression of love. Releasing doves uplifts the eyes, signifi...es new beginnings and true celebrations in flight. Doves choose one partner for life and make this commitment until death. It is said that if doves are seen on your wedding day, a happy home is assured. Like a married couple, the doves are not obliged to be by each others side for every hour of every day. In the evening, however, whether their days journey has been together or apart, both doves return to the same home for the night. The next couple to tie the knot were Erin and James, and they held their ceremony at Gabbinbar Homestead at Middle Ridge, Toowoomba. They chose to include several readings in the ceremony with their family reciting the readings. It was a lovely ceremony, held under the trees in their beautiful gardens. Jay and Jamie-Lee were married at the Coomera Waters Tavern, with the lovely views of the water, it was a magical day for them. Candace and Gary chose to be wed at home at Eagleby, very hot, but no rain thankfully. They decided to hold their ceremony around noon, so they could spend the afternoon with close friends and family present. Last wedding for the month was Jacinta and Tony who were wed at the familys home at Bald Hills. The rain threatened to come down, but stayed away just long enough for them to have a wonderful ceremony with just close friends and family present. So, to all my wonderful newly married couples, thank you so much for asking me to be part of your wedding day, and I wish you all the best for your future happiness!!

02.01.2022 I conducted a lovely wedding at the weekend where the couple included a Lovers Lock Ceremony and completed the ceremony with the releasing of balloons which held the keys to their lock. To watch the balloons rise in the air at the end of the ceremony is a great way to complete the wedding ceremony. Love Locks Ceremony Love is the greatest thing that we can give to one another, for love is a wondrous gift; no other can take its place, but ...Continue reading
