While substance abuse has not been a part of my physical and mental health journey, depression and anxiety certainly is. This is not normally something that I would share but I know first hand how easy it is to cover-up. To put on a brave face and get out of bed. When my/our lives changed 18 months ago, I felt hopeless, a burden to my family, a failure, ...and the list goes on. It's a struggle everyday. Trust me it is a battle.
