21.01.2022 Our friends at the Mole Creek & District Community Shed are having an open day

21.01.2022 I have just been made aware of this notice from the Mole Creek Progress Association with information about ANZAC Day. Hello everyone, The Corona virus has forced us to change our plans to commemorate ANZAC Day.... This is now the plan:- At 11am the Last Post will be played (very loudly) followed by 1 minute silence, then the Reveal. This should be loud enough for everyone in Mole Creek to hear. Also, at 11am, there will be 2 Mole Creek Primary School children at the cenotaph to read the Ode. Respecting social distancing, please don't come to the cenotaph at this time. A basket of rosemary sprigs will be placed near the cenotaph for people to come at their leisure throughout the day to lay a sprig, or lay a wreath if they like. kind regards Sue Meure Secretary

17.01.2022 Movie Magic is back again on Saturday 7th March in the Mole Creek Memorial Hall at 7pm. The technical glitch that occurred in February has been fixed so we are looking forward to a perfect showing! The March movie is Ford vs Ferrari. Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in this movie which is based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together b...attled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966. Even if you’re not a "petrolhead", chances are you’ll enjoy this high-velocity bromance, powered by great acting and meticulous direction. This movie has an M rating. A big thanks to R. Stephens Honey who are our generous sponsors for this movie. Admission to the movie is $5 (maximum of $20 for a family of 4 or more) and there will be hot drinks, popcorn, icecreams and sweets available for purchase. Hot dogs are now also available Feel free to bring your own comfy chair, snacks and drinks. Please spread the word to your family and friends. It should be a fun night.

17.01.2022 The Mole Creek Market is on again this Saturday 20th February from 9am - 1pm. We have some new stall holders coming this week and of course our wonderful regulars will be there too. Cynthia will be back with her scrumptious doughnuts and other baked goods, Carole will be there with her exquisite cards, John has his handmade jewellery, Ian will be back with his amazing woodwork and Deb will have her one off handmade bags. Marcia will be there with her beautiful handmade crafts..., and Jen will have a new lot of Golliwogs looking for a home. Need a haircut? Amy will be there too. There will also be jam stalls, lollies and other delicious treats, plants, coffee van, Afghani food truck, and our local Springfield Deer farm selling venison. The regular BBQ will be there and morning teas will be available inside the Hall. It should be a bumper market and it looks like the weather will be kind to us. Unfortunately some of our wonderful market volunteers have moved on recently so we are on the lookout for a few people to help out at the market. Tasks include general setting up and tidying up, preparing morning teas in the kitchen and generally helping out where needed. It is easy work, you will be working with a fun bunch of people and most importantly giving back to the wonderful Mole Creek community. If you would like to know more or think you might be interested in helping please talk to Maree Martin at Saturday's market.

13.01.2022 In these strange times it is still important to remember ANZAC Day and what it represents. Sadly there will not be any public commemorations but perhaps we can place some flowers from our gardens on the Memorial in Pioneer Drive and remember the ANZAC spirit in our own ways.

04.01.2022 We have been advised by Meander Valley Council that all activities at the Mole Creek Memorial Hall need to be cancelled for the immediate future. This means that the market will NOT be on this weekend 21st March, and the April Movie Magic scheduled for 4 April will NOT be on either. We are very disappointed that we have to do this but the health and safety of our volunteers, stall holders and our visitors is very important. We will keep you posted as to when the ban is lifted. In the meantime stay healthy, wash your hands frequently and remember there is no need to stockpile toilet paper!!
