25.01.2022 Sunday explorations... We took a tour of Toorak House today, open to the public as part of @openhousemelb. It was once home to Victoria's first governors, beginning in the 1850's. The mansion then became the home of the Swedish Church in the 1950's, up to the present day. The stately building is situated on the highest point in Toorak and has fabulous views of the city from its tower. The interior is in beautiful condition, and well preserved, especially the elaborate ceilings. A huge 152 year old English Oak tree (seen in the first picture) planted by Prince Alfred, the first royal to visit Australia, stands strong in the garden. Fascinating!

13.01.2022 Hi everyone! I'm Martine, aka Momo. I don't often post about myself on my business account, but it's always nice to know who is behind the posts, right? Well, here I am. I started working in interiors and styling a number of years ago, after revisiting the world of education to study design and interior styling. Before adjusting my career trajectory, I worked in the camera department on film and TV productions for almost a decade. I bring special skills to my styling, lea...rnt on film and TV sets and have a great eye for detail, along with organisational skills which were finely honed in my camera department role. I'd love to hear if any of you have had a similar experience of forging a brand new career whilst bringing skills and knowledge from your past experiences to your new position. I don't think of my early career as a 'waste' - in fact, it's given me a unique skill set that's all my own! . 01.01.2022 #7Vignettes is back after a hiatus! I discovered this styling challenge for the first time shortly after I started my Instagram account, a couple of years ago. I didn't really know what I was doing back then, but it was so much fun having a creative prompt to start my creative muscles flexing! It was also a great way to get inspired by seeing everyone else's entries, and meet a lovely online creative community. I'm glad it's back for another run! . Today is Day 1: Paper. It's amazing what lovely things can be made from humble squares of pink and white paper... I enjoyed making these sweet little flowers! . What else could you make out of paper?
