25.01.2022 Looking for some inspiration on this fine Tuesday? Look no further. Meet Nathaniel Diong, one of our Bachelor of Global Studies students. He is also the CEO of Future Minds Network - a social enterprise to help tackle youth unemployment. Three years ago, aged just 16, Nathaniel created the social enterprise to help young Australians build the essential interpersonal, communication and practical skills to not only enter the job market, but also create new career pathways. ... Nathaniel and his team of 20 volunteers have since educated, inspired and equipped more than 11,000 youth across three continents. For his outstanding efforts investing in youth futures, Nathaniel has been selected as one of four nominees for the Victorian Young Australian of the Year 2021. Congratulations, Nathaniel. You're such an inspiration and we can't wait to see what you do next! #HumansOfMonash #ChangeItForGood

12.01.2022 "The humanity part of arts - the fact we are talking about people and social change and why things matter - is often underestimated. 12.01.2022 "I chose to study a Bachelor of Global Studies and a Bachelor of Science because it was a perfect pairing. With Science, I love the fact that you're able to delve so deeply into a problem and - most of the time - find perfect solutions. On the other hand, Global Studies highlights how the world is too complex for simple answers - you have to appreciate nuance and think creatively. Pairing these two disciplines together gave me the tools to be able to approach problems in a un...iquely effective way. These tools have enabled me to create a social enterprise that makes a real difference in my community." - Alex Dekker, Founder of Alex Makes Meals Discover our double degree options: https://bit.ly/3tzryhp #MonashArts #ChangeItForGood Monash Uni Science Monash University
