24.01.2022 The Bake Sale 4 Gobi Bears Season has come to a close. During the past 10 days we raised $1237.85 by efforts stretching from coast to coast - our sales were girt by sea!

24.01.2022 It's official! MongoliAid will present the world's first Beatles Exhibition to raise $ for the Gobi bears of Mongolia, on December 21 and 22 at the Edge Hill Progress Association Community Hall in Cairns. From this year forward, no Christmas will be complete without visiting a Beatles Exhibition being for the benefit of Gobi bears!

24.01.2022 Happy to report that MongoliAid today transferred funds to finance the next two Gobi bear food drops in the eastern ranges of the GGSPA.

22.01.2022 Our hibernation is over! MongoliAid has today sent funds to our partner NGO to finance the next Gobi bear food drop in the eastern GGSPA Part A in early May.

At only $10 each they will make unique and affordable Christmas presents AND help save the rarest bears in the world from extinction!

18.01.2022 Happy to report that MongoliAid today received a very generous $500 donation from Maria and the team from the SGM School Justice Squad, to help with funding the 2021 Gobi bear supplemental feeding program!

14.01.2022 MongoliAid is very happy to announce the successful delivery of the Autumnal Gobi bear supplemental food drop across 7 sites around the Segs Tsagaan Bogd oases complexes. These feeding bins are located in the eastern ranges of the GGSPA 'A' park. Congratulations to our Mongolian partner organization MAMA NGO, and thanks to its director Tumenjargal and ranger Bolbo from Ekhiin Gol for co-ordinating this project on the ground in late September. It was great to travel with you both and with our group of volunteers.

09.01.2022 We live in difficult times. Finding money to feed Gobi bears this time was a challenge ... the Australian dollar haemorrhaging badly ... but we did it somehow and the awakening Gobi bears will find some extra food in the coming weeks.

07.01.2022 MongoliAid is happy to report that not all important things have come to a halt. Late March and early April our partner organization in Mongolia - MAMA NGO - delivered essential extra food to Gobi bear feeding bins across the eastern ranges of the GGSPA Part A. The Tsagaan Bogd ranges were still cold and windy but there were many sightings of ibex, argali and khulan. Unfortunately no bear sightings but that was to be expected. Three new feeding bins were deployed, including ...one at a new site called Ishgen Tolgoi. We thank MAMA director Tumen for co-ordinating this effort and by working with GGSPA rangers, particularly Babuu from Ekhiin Gol village. Here are some photos, including a photo of the new bin at Ishgen Tolgoi standing behind the field team. The next supplemental food drop will be in May.

07.01.2022 The MongoliAid Plant Sale is THIS Saturday between 8am-2pm at 23 Riverside Parade at Trinity Park in Cairns. Cash sales only. Crotons, cordylines, dracaenas, succulents, desert rose, and ornamentals will all be available at great prices. All sales will be applied towards the next MongoliAid water project for the endangered animals of the Gobi Desert, including Gobi bears, wild camels and snow leopards. Please spread the word.

01.01.2022 Yesterday was a happy day for Gobi bear conservation. The St Gerard Majella Justice Squad donated $500 towards the cost of the next Gobi bear supplemental food drop, which is not too far away! Thanks again Maria and students for your continued support!

01.01.2022 Next Saturday night MongoliAid will observe the 50th anniversary of the 1st successful moon landing by screening a restored version of an extremely rare 16mm film produced by NASA that is a series of interviews with the Apollo 11 astronauts made less than 2 weeks before launch. Only $10 for adults and $5 for children. The venue is historic Cominos House on Greenslopes St, with doors open at 7pm and the screening at 7:30pm. The film is less than 15 minutes long so the event is short and sweet. Proceeds will support Gobi bear conservation efforts. Rated G. Please reserve your tickets before the night. We hope to see you there!
