23.01.2022 The D915 in Turkey. With vertical drops of hundreds of metres, no barriers, and barely the width of one car it is one of the worlds most dangerous roads. Ruby ate it for breakfast. Coulda played a tune on Ellas nerves #bayburtofyolu #turkey #mongolrally2018

19.01.2022 The Pamirs! We set off from Dushanbe, Tajikistan at about midday to head towards the base of the Pamir mountains. It was only a short drive as we wanted an early start the next day to begin the Pamir highway: a road traversing the Pamir Mountains through Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. It is the only continuous route through the difficult terrain of the mountains. We picked a large grassy area to set up camp- all 10 cars and 26 people and ...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Well that’s all she wrote, what can we say.. the most incredible adventure we’ve ever been a part of. We set off without any idea what we were in for, little did we know how much fun we would have. The people in Iran, the pamirs in Tajikistan, the gas crater in Turkmenistan, Mongolia the whole way through, magic! We’ve travelled with some of the best people in the world, experienced some of the most amazing hospitality from locals, seen some beautiful wildlife, breathtaking s...cenery, drove over mountain steppes, deserts, saw no human life for days on end. We broke down, got flat tires, overheated (a lot). Everyone was skeptical when we told them what we were doing and the countries we were going through, but we have not felt unsafe once throughout the whole rally, the locals have been amazing, so welcoming and friendly, we’ve driven through places that don’t see many westerners, we felt like aliens a lot of the time, but they are the friendliest people we’ve come across. In Iran, while driving, we were ushered to the side of the road by countless people so they could give us water, biscuits, tea, petrol, whatever they had in their car, just because they were happy to see foreigners. When we broke down or got in trouble, people bent over backwards to help us. 99% of the people in the world are amazing, travel teaches you that, but we never expected to experience the generosity that we did on this trip. Ruby, our not so trusty chariot, went through what no car of her build should go through, we flogged her, got airborne multiple times, bottomed out multiple times (thank god for sump guards), got stuck in soft sand multiple times, went through river crossings, climbed hills that seemed to be vertical, we had to drive 50km/h for the last 5000km so we wouldn’t overheat. We cursed that car and hated it the whole way through, but she got us there! To the legends that we convoyed with for the last 6 weeks or so, thank you! I think it’s a fair assumption that we were the loosest convoy, our cars show that! You legends! Thank you Mongol Rally! Let’s never do that again! @mongolygrail @tooeasymongol @ulaanbaastards @floppyrainbow @wakachangiexpress #mongolrally2018 #mongolygrail #convoy See more

06.01.2022 Gallipoli. A very special place. We came to ANZAC cove to watch the sunset with a few other kiwi teams. No one else around. Very eerie feeling. We then went to Lone Pine cemetery the next morning to pay our respects. Unbelievable what those boys went through. Proud to be Australian. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them #respect
05.01.2022 Cheers to the mechanics at #ornekoto and #sedatoto in Cappadocia, Turkey who hooked us up with a new exhaust and a fuel guard. Absolute legends of the game. Lifesavers. Thank god for google translate! Cheers boys #noenglish #noturkish @kokezsedat @demir_usta_kapadokya
