You know the stuff that makes you, your brand and just about everything you touch ooze with your specialness It takes time (and much creating and mistaking) to figure out your 'signature style'. I am still figuring mine out (and it changes!) but at the core I would say 'retro' is defining part of my style - as it is hard for me to create anything that doesn't feel a bit nostalgic. ... My name is Monique, or Mon (for those who like to keep it short and snappy!), I’m the gal behind design/marketing/creative for @campgroundsapparel / @campgroundstamworth. I am proud to be responsible for all apparel and digital design here from my home in regional Australia. As much as I love doing art for myself, I a...m so much more energised by creating for and with others. Bringing a concept or idea into reality is what I love most about being a designer. I started my brand because I want more of that! It was on exchange in Milan (studying Fashion Design), that I really discovered print (surface pattern) design was my thang! I am especially inspired by nature, films and tv as well vintage homewares and textile design. I am obsessed with patterns, especially retro florals!
