05.01.2022 Vegan and cruelty free The labels on beauty and skin care products can be misleading and confusing! Therefore it is helpful to know what the requirements for each certification are and what they are not, so you can best guide your customers towards safe and cruelty free choices. For example simply because a cosmetic product is labeled vegan, it does not mean it is cruelty-free. This image helps clarify the differences here. However its safe to say that all of our produc...ts at World Organics are both Vegan certified and PETA Cruelty free. One of my biggest concerns however is how many people consider that all Vegan and Cruelty Free cosmetic products are safe, clean and natural. It's good to know that some of the most chemically laden products around in the cosmetic industry are Vegan - scary but true! So remember in the world of cosmetics - Vegan certified does in no way mean that the product is also natural. Therefore its best to look for natural / organic certifications as well - just like what we have with our BioGro certifications:) If you would like to discuss how to make the switch to natural, vegan friendly and cruelty free products please get in touch.
