23.01.2022 Greenland and Iceland Photo Tours 2017

23.01.2022 I'm still over in Melbourne after the APPAs (Australian Professional Photography Awards) for this year, waiting for a plane home actually. Of course I submitted 4 Gold with distinction images (at least in my mind), but something happened to them on the way over and they transformed to three silvers and one bombed out completely! This event is really an great way of keeping my ego under control and ensuring I don't get carried away with myself So I'm back down to Earth now and almost ready to try again next year. There were some amazing images at the judging, and it reminded me that there are a lot of incredible photographers over here in Australia, so really I am very happy to find a small place amongst them. Big congratulations to all the winners!

20.01.2022 Tasmanian Wilderness Photography - Getting wet in Tasmania is half the adventure. I mean, Tasmania wouldn't look so stunningly beautiful if it didn't rain a bit. But it doesn't rain as much as you might think...https://mailchi.mp/7de3ff4/tasmanian-wilderness-photography

20.01.2022 And the one that didn't quite make it Ironically it was my favourite, but that is probably all tied up with what was going on around me at the time and not what the judges get to see at all. Its still my favourite of the four images.

02.01.2022 Back to Bhutan again. We turned up at a tiny Monastery I go to each year, where normally there are 20-30 Monks and I have slowly been getting to know the Lama. We are always very respectful and unobtrusive, so he usually invites us to photograph the Monks at their morning prayers. This time we arrived and there was a huge ceremony going on with 1500 Monks in an enormous tent out the front of the Monastery Quite intimidating really. Eventually I got up the courage to take out my camera http://www.adammonk.com/photograp/bhutan-photographic-tour/
