25.01.2022 This week is Teacher Aide Appreciation Week and next Week is School Support Worker Week. Today we had a lunch provided by the P&C to say thank you to our brilliant teacher aides and our amazing Mrs Allen!

25.01.2022 Year 6 Big Day Out- mini golf done, a quick slushee then off to the aqua fun park to cool down. It is hot today!!

25.01.2022 Tomorrow is Walk Safely to School Day. We are going to meet at 8:00 outside The Clock Shop at 8:00. We will start walking to school at 8:10 and will have some fresh fruit waiting for us. Hope to see everybody there!!

20.01.2022 Fathers day gifts... Did you find the big orange envelope that came home with the kids? To order your father day gift bags this year please fill it out and ret...urn tomorrow. 20.01.2022 Have you seen our new school Bunting? We now have strands of beautiful bunting for every possible occasion. Each sports house has 12metres ...to decorate their gazebo. Christmas, book week, music concerts will all be a little brighter thanks to a beautiful family donation. The P&C asked Jaqui, a prep and 1 mum to make some bunting. We had a pretty basic idea of cutting what rags we could find with pinking shears and somehow sewing it together... Jaqui, her Oma and aunty Lulu had bigger and better ideas. After a trip to spotlight and I'm not sure how many sewing bees the school has been presented with bags of celebratory bunting. Oma passed a way a few weeks ago. She is missed by many. Oma was a funny, fierce women that loved her family, friends and life until the end. This bunting ended up being her last sewing project (after years of sewing both for work and pleasure)... How lucky Montville School is to have something made with love that will last for for years. Thank you Oma, Jaqui and Lulu (and all the other Watkins too)

20.01.2022 Our Positive Behaviour signs are now nearly all installed and we think they look great! Our digital sign is only 2 weeks away. Thank you to the Montville State School P&C for successfully applying to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

14.01.2022 LOCAL FIRE BAN NORTH COAST REGION Due to heightened fire conditions, a local fire ban has been imposed for the following Local Government Areas from 11.55pm... Monday (30/11): Bundaberg Fraser Coast North Burnett South Burnett Cherbourg Gympie Sunshine Coast Noosa The ban will remain in place until 11.55pm Monday (7/12). Under a local fire ban, open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.

07.01.2022 MALENY TRANSITION TO HIGHSCHOOL 2021 Key messages for Wednesday and Thursday: - Students are to wear their primary school uniform for both days; - Due to Covid... restrictions, parents who are driving their children are to drop students at the front gates (staff and student leaders will be waiting to greet students) by 8:45am and collect students at 3:00pm (please be aware of bus parking zones at the front of the school); - Please find attached the menu for the school tuckshop (which operates at morning tea only, 10:50-11:10am are the tuckshop serving times for transition students); - Students are to bring their pencil cases, hat, food (or money for tuckshop) and a water bottle; ......... Hope our waiting year 6 students have a great day at their new school.

06.01.2022 We have been running Skateboard Cub for the last 3 weeks thanks to one of our brilliant parents Gyan Duffy. The kids have had lots of fun and learnt about skateboard safety and maintenance.

01.01.2022 Our grants committee are generally busy writing grants but today they took action (pun intended ) on a competition entry that could win us some cool new stuff.... We figure you've got to be in it... Big thanks to the children involved for such an easy fun morning! They rocked their lines and confidently followed direction. We certainly have some stars among us... Thanks Adam and Montville State School for allowing us on grounds and always supporting our ideas.
