25.01.2022 What a great opportunity it was for Moolap to play co-host to the Tennis Victoria and Tennis Geelong UTR series. Shame the weather couldn't of been better however those who participated across the three venues today had a positive experience. Check out some of the action below

21.01.2022 RED LINE EXTENSION Hey everyone, We have been granted a temporary extension of our outdoor area red line due to COVID-19. This means we can have a drink in the courtyard in front of the clubrooms and on the grassy area out the front of courts 1 and 2. Bollards will be placed around the new red line area on Saturday for clarity. Please note you must be seated to use the new area. Feel free to grab a chair from inside the clubrooms or alternatively you can sit at the picnic tab...les and drink or the bench in front of court 2. Thanks

18.01.2022 ROGES REPORT DATE: 07/11/20 2 Men’s Home to Highton Blue Lost 1-21 to 5-35... 3 Men’s Away to Geelong East Uniting Lost 3-30 to 3-27 4 Men’s Gold Away to Grovedale Won 2-20 to 4-28 4 Men’s Black Home to Anglesea Won 5-32 to 1-23 4 Mixed Away to Western Heights Uniting Lost 4-29 to 2-21 2 Mixed Away to Highton Lost 5-35 to 1-21 8 Mixed Home to Fyans Park Lost 1-24 to 5-37 Well, only two winners from this round with the 4 Men’s teams coming away with a win each and continuing their great start to the season especially the Black team who are 3-0 with the Gold team 2-1. 2 and 3 Men’s are still without a win to date but 3 Men’s should have won with Rizza and Roge up in the last set only to lose, but wouldn’t even got close if it wasn’t for the awesome performance of Kyle winning all his sets against a former sec 1 player. 2 and 4 Mixed suffered their first defeat for the year but have still started the year off well and have no need to panic as I am sure will bounce back next week. 8 Mixed are still struggling to find their feet and with so many player changers each week is hard to have consistency I am sure they will get their first win soon. 14.01.2022 ROGES REPORT DATE: 31/10/20 2 Men’s Away to Barwon heads Lost 5=36 to 1-18... 3 Men’s Home to Fyans Park Lost 2-23 to 4-30 4 Men’s Gold Home to Geelong East Uniting Won 5-34 to 1-20 4 Men’s Black Away to All Saints Won 3-27 to 3-28 4 Mixed Home to Newcomb Won 6-36 to 0-11 2 Mixed Home to Clifton Springs Won 4-29 to 2-27 8 Mixed Away to Wandana Heights lost 4-27 to 2-20 WOW, what a start to the season for Mixed 4 have not dropped a set yet, NICE. Sec 2 men’s are struggling at the moment but I have faith in them to bounce back!! Men’s 4 Black had a ripper of a day winning by the barest of margins to make it two wins to start the season. Men’s 4 Gold flexed a bit of muscle (and Matt I said a bit) to notch up their first win. Although it was closer than on paper Roge’s team is struggling with only winning 3 sets for the first 2 weeks, "Come on Roge lift" as Paul (coach) would say. 2 Mixed have two wins from two and look like they didn’t even have a season off!! It was Mixed 8 first outing today after starting the season with a Bye but unfortunately when down 4 sets to 2. ROGE.

05.01.2022 Finals Week 2 After last Saturday's rain, TG with their new by-laws were able to reschedule matches with all 4 finals sides. So our Section 2 Mixed and 4 Men's have the opportunity to both make a Grand Final with victories in their respective matches.... Section 2 Mixes travel to Ocean Grove TC to play the top side. Capt Mark Core says "our team will have to be on, and some of their players a little off. They're incredibly strong and consistent". Section 4 Men's have a Home Semi Final v third placed Geelong East Uniting. Capt Matt Pettigrew suggests past results mean little at this stage in the season, "we've played them twice and won twice, which gives us a lot of confidence in our abilities to perform well again, but they are a good side with good players, and we'll have to play good consistent tennis to get the result". Good luck to both sides tomorrow, we'd love to see as many Moolap members come down and watch our sides, at home or away @ OGTC. Help cheer them on and get that Grand Final berth.

03.01.2022 ROGES REPORT DATE: 14/11/20 2 Men’s Away to Highton Gold Lost 6-38 to 0-19... 3 Men’s Home to Hamlyn Park Blue Lost 1-16 to 5-32 4 Men’s Gold Away to Fyans Park Won 1-16 to 5-36 4 Men’s Black Home to Grovedale Won 5-35 to 1-17 4 Mixed Away to Wandana Heights White Lost 6-39 to 0-23 2 Mixed Home to Grovedale Yellow Draw 3-32 to 3-32 8 Mixed Away to Leopold Won 0-16 to 6-36 Mixed 8 are off and running with their first win for the season with a comprehensive performance. The Men’s 4 teams Black and Gold are unstoppable at the moment both winning and only dropping 1 set each, playing along side the Black side yesterday I can see why they haven’t lost a match yet. Keep it up boys!! Our Mixed 2 team had to be content with a draw and sure they would be kicking themselves looking back at games they should have one (or is that just me). 4 Mixed lowered their colours today but with 3 sets going to 7 it could have been a different story with some luck. Unfortunately it’s not a different story for our Men’s 2 & 3 teams with both struggling to win sets today.
