25.01.2022 So I get asked alot why the name Moon & Star Events? There is a couple of reason why I chose the name Moon & Star and why it means so much to me. First reason - When my eldest son was born we started saying love you to the Moon & back (classic saying) especially at bedtime. ... As he got older he would try to prolong bedtime & say what about the stars? Do you love me to that star? as he points out the window or that star and so on. Then the older they get the more cheeky they get so at bedtime it has gotten to, I love you to the Moon, that star, that star, that star and then we list all the planets always laughing at Uranus. Haha you love me to Uranus & back. Boys why they find farts, butts, wee & burps so funny I will never know!! So clearly Moon & Uranus Events wasnt a suitable name. Neither was Moon, stars, all the planets Events. So we settled on Moon & Star Events. So everytime I think of the name I think of my boys Secondly - our business is based mainly on overnight events under the Moon & Stars. On a side note these cookies are amazing. 16.01.2022 Here is just a quick snap shot of the weekend so far!! To be completely honest when I was looking at my calendar of bookings for December it was a little overwhelming. It is great to be busy but how am I going to fit all this business stuff in as well as be a Mum, have a clean house, workout regularly, eat properly, get proper sleep( doesn't happen often ) and most importantly remember those Elves every night!! Someone who loves setting up & styling events just as much as attending an event. Someone who has a great attention to detail, reliable, hard working & can work on their own or with others. Someone who doesnt mind making beds, putting up tents, styling events & packing down afterwards. The work can be very physical so you will need to be able to lift/carry heavy items & do a lot of trips to & from the car. I can guarantee your step count will be met while working. I have seen other businessss do it but I guess my knowledge of doing it was limited, so I avoided it. Total beds out tonight 23 total for the weekend 33 When they say it takes a village to raise a baby I think this is also relevant for running a small business. Today I was lucky enough to twist Mr Moon & Star (AKA the Husband) to come & help me.
