15.01.2022 This is a tv vid of my beautiful dad and my even more beautiful son with the fully spectacular indigenous icon Ernie Dingo on his tv show Going Places. OMG, I am so proud of how far Mickey has come since he has been with the beautiful Sandra Spencer Diamantaras. Thanks also to my lovely Pop the Senior Elder of the Kombumerri Ngarang-Wal Saltwater people of the Gold Coast for sharing his Elder wisdom and knowledge with his grandson it has given him a whole new perspective on life and connected him to Kombumerri Ngarang-Wal Saltwater Country in a way that nothing or no-one else could. Love you, Mickey. You're so fine. https://youtu.be/h2fI1Zssl2k

14.01.2022 The Gympie Shire Council discriminates against disabled celebrity chef Matt Golinski over his role as food ambassador for the region's farmers. Too cheap to pa...y his measly salary of $16,000 pa and keep the groups associated website domain at a cost of $20 p.a. Fake apologies from the Gympie Shire Council are just a slap in the face. Matt is a BURNS SURVIVOR, not a burns victim (I hate that term it is untrue and demeaning. As a burns survivor myself I can tell you that it takes every ounce of courage support and faith to overcome and SURVIVE the type of trauma that Matt and I went through) and I cannot believe the callous attitude of the bureaucrats at that Council. The public and the farmers love Matt. He is not just an advocate for the farmers in the region he is a national disability role model. Remember that citizens of Gympie when you next vote for your Mayor and Councillors at the next local council elections. This is outrageous and the citizens of Gympie should be outraged and vent their anger at their local Councillors. See more

06.01.2022 GUYS! It was a pleasure to put this together for you this week. So liberating to find that although we are physically distanced, we can still come together and ...make music! This song is very important to me. 18 months ago, after a bombshell piece of news which our family recieved, I found myself in a writing session just hours later. This song was the only song we could write. It spoke to our situation and helped us get through. Now, in light of so much more challenge and pain I hope it speaks to you too! Many thanks to Sem, Josh, Joel and Dave for playing, and especially to Dave for editing the footage and mixing the audio. More is coming!

05.01.2022 If we are going to have an indigenous voice in parliament, it can't be Ken Wyatt - he is part of the government - it needs to be a representative council non-We...stminster, not even consensus style, a melting pop of opinion, ideas, concepts, and a voice (gathered at all levels from the indigenous people, from individuals, grassroots, all the way up to those minority of high achievers in the community. We have to be inclusive, non-discriminatory of one another, a united voice, it has to be able to engage with the community in plain language using simple concepts, (I am sick of dealing with public servants that speak and write and communicate like they swallowed a bloody dictionary, the voice should speak for the future, past, and present of us, our babies, children - both boys and girls, men and women, single and married and the diverse groups within our community who do not fit into the standard "square peg". It should be an expression of our hopes and dreams, and our vision for our futures, it should reflect on the past, without playing the victim card. My grandmother was a proud North Stradbroke Island Woman and she was fierce, she never complained about the government, but I never ever heard my nana speak about her mother or father either, and there was a silent sadness in her eyes that made me sad too. When I look at our children I see anger, hurt, disappointment, and despair - why is this still happening in a modern enlightened evolved Australia. Little Quaden at the Gold Coast broke my heart and it took a public debate and people like famous footballers and Hugh Jackman to befriend him to help him. He is happy now. And we all breathe a sigh of relief for him and his mother that he will probably be ok now. But he is an anomaly in a broken system - a system we were born into and we did not break - it broke us. We look to our Elders, and we look to our young ones for leadership and for hope - the Elders to lead us now, and so many of us saw our children as future Prime Ministers, doctors, lawyers, teachers - some mothers hearts are broken and nothing and no-one can console them. I think that while Australian politicians are under the spotlight for not doing their jobs, and others in opposition who want a turn at the wheel again - both federally and state - we want to hear your voices - I hear nothing about what you plan to do to make things better for us. Yes while some of us are very disadvantaged and need special care, others want a level playing field - if the field is uneven and we have to climb a hill or a mountain to get where we have to go in life, don't bulldoze the hill or build a road around the mountain. I look at photos online of our past warriors and I want our children, teenagers and adults to know about the character of the proud amazing race of people that were here before we all were. Am I an Australian Citizen or am I an Aboriginal - a Saltwater woman - why can't I be both? I want the Feds and State Government to give us a voice, but don't be upset with us if our voices are still angry we have been under a system that has controlled us, taken our culture and our dignity with it, stifled us, humiliated us, kept us poor, separated us from our children, jailed our boys, - and that is just in the past hundred years, if we go back any further in time then we truly will want to claim victim status and you don't want that. I pay respects to the desert people of Uluru. I only bring this matter up on FB because I heard a story on the ABC DRUM tonight saying we need to keep the debate open. Your sacred rock is beautiful. I share this image on my page as an educational tool only. I do not wish to offend or tax your IP. See more

04.01.2022 Quaden darling doesn't despair about your football dreams. There are many careers within the football industry. Have you thought about training to be a coach? Anyway, there is oodles of time for you to decide what you want to be when you grow up. I predict that you are going to be an advocate for and role model for others like

04.01.2022 Yellow (Coldplay) this cover is by Walk off the Earth. I don't know who they are exactly. But I love them. They are totally rad.

03.01.2022 The Royal Family are nasty and spiteful. Thank you Princess Meghan for recognising that your beautiful Prince was oppressed and controlled. I hope that you find true happiness in America and if you dont like it there please come and live in Australia. We love you.

01.01.2022 I am buying into the Coronavirus and the Federal Toilet Saga at the Shooter's Club. I saw on YouTube about 3 weeks ago a sickening sight. A Chinese national fro...m Wuhan eating live baby mice with chopsticks and dipping them in soya sauce. I only saw the preview but it made me want to vomit. He could be the swine that started this whole pandemic - its smacks of Bubonic Plague - the guy was obviously mental as anything and he could very well be dead and his diseased corpse caused this while flu. Secondly, while I do not want to appear to be siding with either the Liberal or the Labor Party - as I think everyone should weigh up ALL PARTY's sincerity commitment and policies commonsense and heart and soul, if you know what I mean - I saw a photo on Sky News of that Toilet in Question before and after and before it was a mess a total disgrace and afterwards it was very nice. I don't think I agree with these PC idiots who say its political favouritism and bribing the public. 1. There could only be a few hundred people in the gun club. Her electorate would have thousands of people. So it was a once-off for a sporting club not to sway voters in her electorate. FFS. 2. You could have the best project in the pool and if your submission does not "melt the heart" of the public servant deciding our application then you miss out normally. I like the community grants by ministers I think you have a better shot of getting one if you have a good rapport and relationship with your local member/minister - and if your project is worthy and good for the community. 3. It should not be that there were others that were more worthy - its a matter of priorities - her personal opinions as a Minister have to be a factor in her decision-making process otherwise she wouldn't be human. I like the human factor - God helps us the day they come up with an algorithm that decides who gets what grant, or who gets a government house. I'm sure they already have that for bank loans. 4. I would blame her staff for not using a computer program to transcribe her thoughts onto the system as she went along - that is pure laziness and bad admin support. I am a very visual person I like to see things on paper rather than in a pdf - its like monitor blindness. People say to be you need to be thinking more about trees you use too much paper - a whiteboard is a middle of the road solution to that problem. As long as the information was eventually placed onto the system I don't see a problem. 5. I would have an issue if the grant money was not spent wisely and on upgrading the busted toilet block to a toilet/changing room so that the women and girls had some privacy to get dressed and undressed. 6. Facilities such as changing rooms and toilets are something that is important to members, the community at large and future and prospective members. It is also good for the Club. 7. While public servants thought a roller derby was a better and more worthy choice and they were the ones who obviously blew the whistle on Bridget McKenzie - (how about focusing on your own job ? Hey Lefty would you like someone micromanaging you?)???!!!! 9. It was up to the minister and I enjoy rollerskating as much as the next person but honestly, you can't tell me its money better spent when people can pay their own way to a rink for $8 (the cost of a movie ticket and the rink should have been community-minded enough to sponsor the event and everyone put in a gold coin donation or more to fundraise for the organisation - these fundraisers are not supposed to be funded by grants - we certainly don't get money for that. 10. I am currently making jams pickles and preserves to sell at the weekend markets to raise funds for our little organisation because funding is so competitive. I am also going to have a go at making organic lipglosses and doing some wearable art (sarongs and boardies using a talented local Kombumerri Artist John Graham - that's if the local TAFE ever get back to me. 11. Give me a comfortable place to "ablut" and change my clothes and freshen up my makeup and yeah have a post-game shower in summer ANYDAY, I can rollerskate anytime. PS For the size of that grant were they buying everyone a pair of rollerskates and how much was the Roller skating rink charging. 12. I think it comes down to commonsense and budgets and not what is more PC or fun or "inclusive" but what is more practical. PS can I have a grant for a roller-skating derby or similar. please advise as I am dying to know. See more
