22.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: 27 November 2020 Heading toward normalwhatever we remember that to be.. Thanks as always to Archery Victoria and City of Kingston for their respective approvals of our latest Return to Play Plans, we got final sign off later this afternoon.... Following last Sunday’s announcements we’re good to go with the details outlined by Mick yesterday. Condition of entry to MAC is that you must read and follow the instructions posted at the entry gate, the highlights being: There will be a maximum of 50 archers (plus support staff) on field at any time. Clubrooms and toilets will be used subject to density cap of 1:4sqm, a designated volunteer will monitor and ensure facilities are cleaned on a regular basis (with instructions and cleaning products placed in bathrooms for individuals to self-clean before and after use as well), masks must be worn within these facilities and clear signage will inform this Ozbow sessions Saturday and Sunday 9.45am to 12.pm will be open to all members (Full, Ozbow and temporary carded members all welcome). There is no need to pre-book, we will manage the numbers should we get close to the 50 person cap No Come n Try sessions available at this time (sorry) We are hiring equipment which will be cleaned stringently in between usage Continue to BYO food and drink and sunscreen given the forecast Club competition with scoring will commence subject to conditions stay tuned for further detail MAC can take bookings for schools and community groups subject to them having exclusive use of MAC. Only those running or supporting the event can be present. Normal outdoor patron caps apply Face masks do not need to be used outdoors unless individuals are unable to keep 1.5m apart Where 1.5m can be maintained between archers, they can share a target but they must retrieve their own arrows. MAC Committee hopes this brings a smile to your face as we work behind the scenes to bring the club back to working order. As always let us know of any concerns, questions or feedback you have!

13.01.2022 Nothing changes for this weekend, so Registrations are now open on Archers Diary for timeslots of 2 hours for this weekend. Prerequisites: You MUST have your own equipment AND live within 25km radius to attend.... Carry & use personal hand sanitizer. Wear a mask at all times, except when actually drawing the bow if you feel it unsafe to do so. Entry at the gate implies you have read the Risk Management Plan on display. . . Remember to re-register in AD. Full Members please avoid booking 10am -12pm so we can maximise OzBow, Temp & Qualification attendance. If Full Members need to shoot during Ozbow, please do the courtesy of dropping an email to [email protected] so we can manage numbers & expectations. . Weekdays - the range is open to Full Members with a key , no Archers Diary booking required. Please adhere to the 10 person cap & do not enter if the cap is exceeded. 11.01.2022 The wait is over.. We’ve had some fun and seen some very creative designs in our alternative MAC shirt competition. Thank you to everyone that submitted their design(s), it’s been a delight watching the various compositions come in. And thank you to everyone that voted, we hope you all enjoyed the distraction. ... The criteria to win was: Person with the most votes Person could not place more than once The final votes were very close, just one point difference between each winner. And the winners are: First place: T - Justin Yuan Prize: $100 voucher to spend at MAC’s Pro Shop Second place: R Tony Spencer Prize: Lizzies Chocolates and a bottle of wine to the value of $75 Third place: E Kevan Smith Prize: Lizzies Chocolates to the value of $40 Congratulations to the winners, unfortunately we could only choose one shirt! Next steps: we will head to manufacturing stage, (Committee reserving the right to make slight modifications if need be). And we’ll get those prizes to the winners sorry Justin you can’t enjoy yours just yet but hopefully soon! Thank you all for your involvement in the competition and we’ll keep you posted when we have more news about how to purchase said shirt! M https://lizzyschocolates.com.au/

10.01.2022 Grass all cut come & try area and I made out the front of club house all neat & tidy down to distance posts, can't say much about some of the main field.

10.01.2022 Hi to all, hope you are staying warm, dry & healthy during this wintery blast. We have taken onboard feedback & tweaked the final design for the alternative MAC polo slightly. Nobody could be accused of being shot in the back, bum or high draws! The design aligns as close as possible to Justin's winning entry. Thank you Justin for the rework, much appreciated. The next step is to take this to the manufacturers this week & we hope you will be able to pre-order online shortly.... Similar to the example on display at the club some time back, the fabric will be 165gsm Mesh with side mesh vent panels - excellent for the coming Summer months. Stay safe folks while we keep working away on your wardrobe for the breakout!

We ARE hiring equipment. . Clubhouse & toilets will be open with spatial distancing as per density limits & signage. . We expect to have a max of 50 archers (plus support staff). . 03.01.2022 Fantastic to see OzBow returning to near-normal this weekend...even if we had to be mindful of wildlife when collecting arrows...:)

02.01.2022 Get a free bag of wheat with each Ozbow session

01.01.2022 Grass is getting high... :) Mowed lanes now make it a little easier to navigate, avoid snakes & buffalo if we are ever plagued by them... and open up access to more targets. You're welcome!
