25.01.2022 STAFF NEWS | We would like to welcome Rosie to the MVH team! Rosie has joined us as a trainee nurse, growing up with a love of all animals! Rosie’s other love is AFL! She currently plays for St Kilda in the AFLW, we can’t wait to see her take the field again in 2021. She has two dogs at home, a Westie Cross called Leo and a Labrador named Stitch. Welcome Rosie!

22.01.2022 MIA UPDATE | Mia is still enjoying isolation life in the peaceful sanctuary of Marian’s house and garden! She enjoys spending time outside daily, and has Marian programmed for breakfast, dinner and bed time!

This money will further assist Snowy River Vet Clinic in their treatment of injured wildlife. As promised we have matched what our clients have donated and we were able to forward $2000 towards much needed items. 16.01.2022 STAFF NEWS | We would like to welcome Kiah to the MVH team! Kiah has been at MVH since April, so you may have already seen her smiling face at reception (or spoken to her on the phone during our lockdown periods!) Kiah has joined the team as a trainee Veterinary Nurse. She has a love of all animals, having grown up on a cattle farm, and has also had a menagerie of pets including a Green Tree Frog and a Water Dragon. She currently has two dogs and two Guinea Pigs! Welcome Kiah!

We would like to let you know that the incident is contained and there was no threat to MVH. We are open! 15.01.2022 EAST GIPPSLAND BUSHFIRE APPEAL | Mars Petcare Australia (makers of Advance pet food) kindly donated Greenies, from which we were able to raise $384! Together with other generous donations we continue to receive, we have raised another $1000! We have donated this to Zoos Victoria for their continued efforts in the Mallacoota region. 12.01.2022 EMERGENCIES | Our closest emergency centre Animal Emergency Centre Moorabbin will be closed tonight from 11pm to 6.30am tomorrow morning. Their phone 9532 5261 will be diverted to AEC Mt Waverley. If you need urgent veterinary care, the closest emergency centre is Pet Emergency & Specialist Centre in Malvern East 9569 3677. 12.01.2022 MIA UPDATE | Mia is enjoying some social distancing in isolation with Receptionist Marian! Cats can’t get Coronavirus (COVID-19), however many people come in every day and pat or kiss Mia. She has been enjoying the life with Marian, keeping her company, sleeping on the bed and helping to do the gardening. Hopefully we will see them both soon!

03.01.2022 THANK YOU | Dr David from Snowy River Vet Clinic would like to pass on his thanks to our wonderful clients, for their generosity in donating to our appeal. We raised $3000 to assist them in their treatment of injured wildlife. He has said much of the funds raised has helped treat affected wildlife in the Mallacoota region. Dr David has also let us know that they do not require further funding at this stage.
