18.01.2022 Children across Latrobe Citys Kindergartens have some new books to read. The books encourage children to be themselves (Giraffes Cant Dance), understand their feelings (Tough Guys Have Feelings Too) and reflect on gender stereotypes (Not All Princesses Dress in Pink). Picture story books are a great way for children to explore their world and to reflect on their place in it.... If youre interested in finding out more, Latrobe City Libraries have a pamphlet with a list of Childrens Picture Books that promote gender equality and challenge gender stereotypes. The books were purchased thanks to a grant from the Australian Government aimed at preventing family violence.
