11.01.2022 Last night Moorland Brigade held the first AGM meeting since 2019. Some of you may not realise that on the last occasion we did not have the member numbers to fill roles. Consequently, the Brigade was given an ultimatum: find the numbers, merge with another brigade or fold. We stood our ground and thankfully, shortly after that meeting, Stewart Waugh rose to the challenge as Captain, which allowed us to remain open on skeleton roles. Over the last two years we have formed a ...close and humble group, weathering a very sharp learning curve with the 2019/2020 fire season. We have added new members. Existing members have increased their formal training to a level required to fill officer roles. It is our pleasure to inform the community that last nights AGM was successful. We now have 9 ordinary members and a number of probationary members. We thank all that attended, including GO Damien Chester, who we hope to see more of going forward. Without further ado, the following positions were voted in unanimously: Captain / Equipment Officer - Stewart Waugh Senior Deputy Captain / Secretary - Mike Hudson Deputy Captain / Training Officer - Keith Sims President - Hux Pohlman Treasurer - Paul Pannekoek Community Engagement / Resources / IT Officer - Bo Wild

10.01.2022 Vale Captain Ian Scarfe of the Killabakh Brigade. Condolences to his friends, family and brigade members
