24.01.2022 Coaching Announcement from our Senior Coach Cam Viney We are pleased to announce Mark Valli will be apart of our Senior Coaching panel for 2021 season. Mark has had a decorated football career and will bring much needed experience and football knowledge to our club.... A brief run down on Marks playing career and coaching career has seen him play in the WAFL system for 6 years with both East Fremantle and Subiaco. During this time he coached the U/17s for Subiaco for two seasons. He coached at amateur level for 3 years at Bullcreek, a club that has produced players like Simon Black, Ben Cousin and Shane Woewodin just to name a few. His working career has taken him all over the country and has now landed him in sunny Queensland so we are very fortunate to have someone of Marks caliber at the Pen Please join us in welcoming Mark to our club. We do still have ONE lucky last table available for anyone wanting to put a team together and register! Don’t forget, there are prizes to be won so send us a message, email or approach either Turner or Rizzy at training to claim the last spot! We also welcome all our trivia teams to bring your own snacks, however pizza will be sold at $2 a slice on the night. ... To help fundraise for our club, we have organised a CA$H RAFFLE! The first half of the funds raised will be donated to the club, and the second half will be handed to the very VERY lucky raffle winner! 23.01.2022 PRE-SEASON It’s that time of the year again where our Senior men kick start their preparations for the up and coming 2021 season. Date: Thursday, 12th of November starting at 6:30pm... The club are seeking new players along with returning players who want to be a part of building a winning culture both on and off the field and putting our football club back up where it belongs. 22.01.2022 Our football club is really excited to be given the opportunity to work alongside the Calamvale Leopards AFC in submitting a colts team for the up and coming 2021 season. Being able to provide a pathway from their under 16s through to the next phase which is colts football is really exciting for both clubs. We are now currently recruiting for players aged 16-18 to come join the current playing group.... Please see attached flyer for details of contacts and the clubs location. 20.01.2022 The Roosters are travelling up north for the first Sir Doug Nicholls Round! Our mens side will make the trip to the Ray Warren Oval in Gympie, where we hope to celebrate victory on the drive back home. Whereas our women’s team will venture to Lemke Road to face the Sandgate Hawks at their home ground. It’s a big day of footy for the Roosters, and although our teams can’t rely on the support of each other, we hope to be able to count on the support of our brilliant volunteer...s and community to cheer us on from the side lines! Hope to see you all there!

17.01.2022 Message from our Senior Mens Coach If you have nothing on today come on down to Yeronga Oval and support the Calamvale Leopards under 16s in their quest for premiership glory against Beenleigh. A lot of these young men will continue their football careers next season playing colts as a combined Calamvale/Moorooka team. Let’s all get behind them today and cheer them on.

10.01.2022 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT We are pleased to announce Patrick Keefe as our 2021 Reserve coach! Pat has made the move across from Jindalee with his son Jacob after coaching their reserve team this season.... Pat played the majority of his football career in the Northern Tasmanian Football league with both University Mowbray and Bridgenorth before spending 10 years from 2004-2014 playing and coaching at St Helens football club. During his time at St Helens he coached the reserves from 2010-2011 before taking charge of their under 16s. He guided them to back to back premierships as well as two consecutive years undefeated during this time. Pat along with Jacob have spent the last two seasons coaching and playing at Jindalee before deciding on a move across to the Pen for 2021. Welcome Pat and Jacob! We look forward to seeing you down at the Pen

Only two more days until our big day against Alex Hills AFC where we’ll have our reserves, seniors and women’s teams playing back to back at the pen. It’s a big day, with our Roosters Trivia Night later in the afternoon, and to anyone still looking at joining, we have ONE lucky spot left! ... 06.01.2022 With Preseason now into full swing it’s about time we start introducing some of the new players down at the Pen. Having made the journey from down South to continue his work as a strength and conditioning coach for the AFL, Corey has joined the Pen from the Mornington Bulldogs. Corey Robinson played in the very strong Mornington Peninsula Football League and we are very excited to have someone of his caliber on board at the club for 2021 ... Sam Watt, Jordan Ma, Harry Ikin and Andrew Hombsch have all made the trip down the motorway from Ferny Grove Falcons. All four players are keen to take their football to the next level from the Friday nights and testing themselves in a higher division. We look forward to seeing all four in the red and white and watch their development throughout the preseason. Welcome to the Pen boys Jayson Dunnett is returning back to the football scene after a few years away from the game. Jayson Dunnett has played the majority of his football career for the Rockhampton Panthers in the AFL Capricornia League. 02.01.2022 More new faces down at the Pen A big welcome to Jackson Macoun and Dougie Newman! Both boys have come across after playing league to have a crack at AFL this season.... The boys haven’t missed a session yet and are setting the pace early on in all the running. We look forward to seeing you running around in 2021 boys. Welcome Josh Furnari and Marty Devlyn to the Pen! Both have made the trip down the motorway from Ferny Grove and have joined a number of boys from the Falcons to have a crack at a higher division. Josh is a very accomplished footballer having won the league medal two years in a row while playing for Ferny Grove and will be great attention to the club. Marty has a beautiful left foot and has looked really sharp on the training track already with his skills. We look forward to seeing all four boys in More new players to come next week
