A huge thank-you to all the swimmers who participated this season and to all those who have assisted each and every week. I have seen many improvements in both ability and how comfortable people have become swimming in our Bay and hope that you all continue to enjoy the resources that we have. To finish I would just like to let you know that thanks to Paul Austin we have received our rescue bouy. And to Chris Colly who has donated 3 wetsuits for use if anybody wants them(2 mediums, 1 long and one without arms and a 7MM armless if anyone really feels the cold).

14.01.2022 Well we are still not back in the pool, but hopefully not long. For those of you managing to get to Kardinia or Lara a session I recommend is 10 * 50 mtrs 30 sec rest between each on your first session then 20 sec rest on your next session and finally 10 sec rest on your third session). If you want to do more then add 5 * 100 mtr with 1.00 min rest on first session 45 sec rest on second session and 30 sec rest on the third session. Remember its not about distance its about do...ing it well with consistent stroke count. For those of you still doing the dry land program here is another to try. - 2 mins jog or star jumps - 2 mins arm/legs swings (back and forward) Do below 4 x 30 seconds - sit ups - reverse crunches - Flutter kicks - push ups - Step ups (alternate foot on step) - squats Do below 20 sec then rest, 30 sec, 40 sec .... - front plank Gentle stretches Hope to see you all in the pool. 11.01.2022 Holliday's Heroes Swimming is on this Monday the 27th of July @ 6:15 pm but there are some requirements that need to be met in order for us to do this. Firstly the cost per night is now $6.00, either myself or Ian Holliday need to be aware of who is coming to each session and if you do attend you need sign in at the door with name and contact details in the case of any Covid-19 infection. If you are interested please let me know so I can gauge numbers to make sure I can get enough pool space to accommodate our numbers, thanks.
