25.01.2022 Earlier this year I rebranded. My brand originally started as a spin off from something I created with my sister. It had flowers, was fluffy, and just something I did to get out there. It evolved to represent myself as I am my brand and product (service). Ive evolved to want to bring people on to work with me. Ive spent 10 years building a solid foundation for my business which is my reputation for what I do in my area of expertise. 25.01.2022 About 18 months ago I had to overcome one of my fears. I used to suffer with social anxiety. Its not something Ive always had, but I allowed into my life. Doctor gave 2 options - medication or join a group. I chose to join a business networking group. From that day I learnt what people mean when they say know your why. In that first meeting (well actually sitting in the car panicking before the meeting) I learnt that fear can be overcome if you know your true why. I also ...discovered that I am never to old for personal grow and as a result I have experienced significant growth in my business. 24.01.2022 Ooo as many know this is one of my most favourite products and brands that I work on @rokkombucha is honestly the best tasting kombucha on the market. Certified organic and flavours are amazing. Brewed by one of my favourite winemakers in beautiful Margaret River. The owners commissioned @ianmutch for all the illustrations and I have the pleasure of making them all look good across everything they do. I love working on this brand as it is at times challenging but so much fun ...to work on. 24.01.2022 Ill admit that at times I get creative blocks and some projects feel like they are just not meant for me. Ive had one such project sitting on my desk for some time now. The client hasnt push but I struggle with it every time I sit down to do the job. I like to meet people before I start working with them to see if I am the right fit. I get a feel of their character and energy and a read on how best to represent their brand. This client I met via a Zoom chat as hes based ...in the US and we gelled. I felt I had a good read on him, his style and personality so its had me stumped why I couldnt do the design. Today I realized the design is more about a place and how that place made him feel so I needed to connect with the energy of the place and not so much of the client. So today I got connected and finally feel inspired to do the design. See design isnt just about putting shapes and words on pages its about evoking a feeling that entices the right audience.
