19.01.2022 I have found that each person is individual and needs different levels of attention. Some just need your time to chat. Some just want a sincere friend that cares for them. Some need help moving. Some need to know they can call you in the middle of the night if something happens. Some need help watching their kids or a dinner 'just because'. Some need someone to visit them or hang out. And some only want a letter. Some don't want anything at all... at those times, we can offer them thoughts and blessings in our prayers. 12.01.2022 I want to share a little insight on my "vulnerable" post last week. First of all, I've never shared in that way on social media before. I've never cried and posted it for others to see publicly. But I learned something. I learned that when I let go of what others think of me for being authentic, that I actually felt empowered to express myself and my emotions in the moment I was feeling them. ... I also learned that I was surprised by who felt uncomfortable with it. The truth is, I too have been uncomfortable with people's emotional posts. Maybe they didn't feel it was the appropriate place to share, I don't know. But what did stand out is that I am not responsible for others feelings and I can't help if my truth (good or bad) makes others uncomfortable. You can be vulnerable for sharing positive things too! You may wonder if you're making someone else feel bad for your success. There's lots of reason really. They come up all the time in coaching and it's natural to have these feelings. On the other hand, I was also heart-warmed and surprised by those that reached out and shared their own experiences and also shared with me their vulnerabilities. I appreciated those words of support, strength and comfort. As it brought some meaningful conversations on the backend, I appreciated the power of vulnerability and the courage it takes to be authentic. It deepens relationships with others! As we share our hardships vulnerably and sincerely, we all have access to enable the power of the atonement in which to lift others and strengthen them.
