23.01.2022 CoVID-19 UPDATE FOR THE MORNINGTON BASEBALL CLUB In light of recent events and announcements made by the Victorian Government, and information provided by BV and the DBA today we are able to provide the following information for you all. As it stands, the season will continue as fixtured.... Training can continue in groups of 30 (inclusive of coaches). Club Events to be cancelled until Friday, June 4th. As a result, Thursday Dinner will be cancelled and the bar won't be open for this week or next after training. Masks need to be worn indoors if you need to enter the clubrooms by anyone aged 12 and older (unless there is an exemption). Scan the QR Codes at the Club on arrival, and unless essential for the training/game/committee duties, we request you keep to your cars/ the carpark area. Spectators discouraged from attending tomorrow nights A1 Midweek game. It has been requested by the DBA that Players and Team Officials ONLY are in attendance. Everyone will need to sign in using the QR Codes at Dandenong. We are waiting to hear from BV and the DBA as to what this looks like for the weekends games RE: attendance. The canteen is governed by the local council, so at this point in time, will be open for Saturday's games. That's what we have at the moment. When we have more or differing information we will let everyone know ASAP. Thanks for your understanding

08.01.2022 In two weeks time our brand new (& some tiny) Pirate Little Leaguers will be playing their very first game of Baseball in the Friday night competition, followed by some seniors taking the diamond for the first time on the Sunday. That means only 4 more training sessions! We'll have an info session coming up for those new to Baseball which will include teaching parents & partners how to score And a Working Bee on Sunday 29th after training It's been fantastic to see everyone rally together to make this happen. Let's keep the momentum up & have a fantastic first VSBL Pirate season!! #GoPirates

07.01.2022 We have the green light to return to Baseball Given the very short turn around time between being able to train and the start of the season (4 weeks) we need committments from players ASAP to enable the correct amount of teams to be entered into the correct competitions. The season will be approximately 11 weeks... Junior games are played Sunday mornings Senior games are played Sunday afternoons Masters (38+) are played Monday evenings Trainings will return to the usual Thursday nights in the next week or so What we need to do, to take the field.... 1. ALL players must register with Baseball Victoria via their return to training link. https://regoform.mygameday.app/ New players will need to create an account and register. Existing members will need to login and register. There is currently no cost, fees will be added to the SportsTG link ASAP and players will then be required to pay fees before playing. If you have played for a different club in the last 5 Summer seasons and are playing for the Pirates this Summer you will need a letter of intent and clearance. Please email [email protected] to arrange this ASAP. 2. ALL players, senior and junior must register to train via TeamApp to enable us to adhere to the strict guidelines in place. REGISTER FOR TRAINING ON TEAMAPP https://morningtonbaseballclub.teamapp.com/events?_list=v1 If you don't have TeamApp please head to the Play Store or iTunes and search for TeamApp, once downloaded find the Mornington Baseball Club and request access to the appropriate playing group. Notifications will be sent to all groups for the next few weeks. Once you have TeamApp set up, head to the 2020 Calendar and RSVP to training. We are doing our absolute best to deal with the situation at hand and relying heavily of great communicaiton from players for registrations and team entries. Extras will be available to purchase. We would appreciate it if any seniors can make themselves available to arrive at 8:45 and assist with Junior training. Please let Jo know. Committee members will be available to answer questions about uniforms and other playing requirements. All information regarding Covid safe plans and documentation will be available, along with copius amounts of hand sanitiser & anything else required to allow training to take place.
