25.01.2022 This was the response to the near miss. Newman, Chaz Mar 7 (2 days ago) to me ... Dear Mr Jacob As the FPC’s Production Manager responsible for the Commission’s efficient and safe delivery of forest products from our public native and softwood forests, and being guided by the principles and practice of sustainable forest management, I have been aware of your particular concerns about timber harvesting in the Mornington area. Given the circumstances and communication that arose yesterday as activity was recommenced in Hadfield 0317, I am affirming to you the following : FPC staff and its contractors work to stringent standards and guidelines that are regularly being refined to meet our obligations. These cover environmental, procedural, operational and safety and welfare. The Hadfield harvest operation including closure of public access on Niger Road during operational periods is authorized and proceeding. Planning to this stage was routine and lengthy. I acknowledge that the temporary absence of a sign on the eastern entry to Niger Road while set up work was being done at the western end was untimely and caused you some distress. Internal evaluation of how this came about and options for improvement for such situations is being addressed. I understand Mr Beatty is continuing some contact with you and is communicating progressively on a range of matters including access, details on planning and carrying out of harvesting, forest health and water catchments. You may come back to me by email if there are specific and new issues you need to raise to me as Manager. Regards Chaz Newman Branch Manager Production Operations Forest Products Commission Western Australia

20.01.2022 This is my response to the incident, The Minister was CC in the email. I acknowledge that my English is not my strong point but all words are the words of the author and while this people are getting paid for destroying lives and forests, I will continue to seek the truth and protest to what I believe is unjust and unfair whilst staying true to being a CPO (Commonwealth Public Official) I have lost sleep, been under the most stress i have experienced in my life. Missed 3 wee...Continue reading

12.01.2022 Thanks to the FPC I have no access to my property. We were meant to have a meeting this Sunday to discuss this matter. Niger Road has been cut off leaving me without a place to live. No alternative rout has been given and the near death expedience a few days ago due to no signage. Work safe has been contacted and wait for an outcome.

10.01.2022 The deaths on the Mornington since the logging began has been horrendous. Wildlife that I didn't know existed have been wiped out by the experts, not to mention the senseless running over of the grass trees. The lettering of the Bush with grease tubes and various other foreign object show the blatant disrespect for the forest and wildlife. FPC Conservation and biodiversity, park and wildlife, dawson contracting are all very good at justifying there actions as the destruction continues.

08.01.2022 EFFECTS OF DEFORESTATION Deforestation can have a negative impact on the environment. The most dramatic impact is a loss of habitat for millions of species. Eighty percent of Earth’s land animals and plants live in forests, and many cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes. Deforestation also drives climate change. Forest soils are moist, but without protection from sun-blocking tree cover, they quickly dry out. Trees also help perpetuate the water cycle by ...Continue reading
