02.01.2022 FAQ One of the most common questions we are asked is when should I bring my child in for their 1st dental checkup? We recommend bringing your child in once their first teeth come through (even if its just a look!). We believe it is important to ensure your child is comfortable in the dental setting and is able to become familiar with the smells, tastes, and noises that differ from their day to day experiences. ... Easing them into the visit can reduce their anxiety making them more willing to cooperate in the long term. We encourage you to talk to your child about their dental appointments in a positive manner by explaining that the dentist will count and check their teeth. Even practicing opening nice and wide ready for their appointment is a great way to start!

30.11.2021 Sugar content in fruit We know fruit provides a range of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that assist in the general health and wellness of our bodies. However, as good as fruit is, it does contain natural sugars and acids which can effect our teeth!! ... Choosing fruits that are low in sugar and acidity like berries, melon, and stone fruit will provide many health benefits while avoiding too much sugar. Whilst bananas, grapes, and apples are great too, they do contain a higher sugar content. Although excessive consumption of fruit can cause holes in our teeth, the health benefits make it a far better option than other sugary or processed foods. We recommend the ‘everything in moderation’ approach so you can still enjoy the fruits you love whilst keeping your teeth healthy and strong!
