15.01.2022 Prospective Catering Teams: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Thank you for considering helping the amazing BlazeAid Angels at the Moruya Showground through cooking their evening meal on your selected date. Here is the process: 1. Select an available date & place your booking. Please provide a contact name & mobile number for the team leader, and in the notes let us know what you plan to cook (if you don't know yet, that is fine, just let us know when you can). Note that you will need to... plan a main meal AND a dessert. 2. 2+ days out from your selected date, call or drop in to see the Moruya Camp Coordinator Vince Heys: * Confirm your planned menu & he will approve for you to collect the required meat from Super IGA Moruya, with a signed Order Form, on the BlazeAid account. If you do not get his confirmation, you will not get the meat. *Get an indication from Vince of the number of people you will be catering for. * Check out the Pantry for non-perishables that have been donated that you can use in your planned menu (eg flour, rice, kidney beans, spaghetti, frozen veggies) & set them aside. *Check out the kitchen for cooking equipment so you know what you have to work with. 3. Gather your other required supplies from local supermarkets Super IGA Moruya, SAGE Farmers market, Woolworths, Southlands Fruit and Veg, or wherever you shop locally, to support our community's economy. 4. 9am on your selected date, call Vince Heys 0478 22 633 to confirm final numbers. 5. From 3pm (or later, depending on your menu), arrive at BlazeAid Camp with your team & prepare your meal for service. 6. Service (Bain Marie available) from 6:00pm sharp. 7. Stay, eat & chat with the Volunteers, ensuring all are well fed. 8. Assist with clean up. See more
