25.01.2022 Brisbane based theatre company Shock Therapy will be showing The Apology to our students on Thursday 12th November. Inspired by a true story of a high school student who took revenge on a classmate who was bullying him after his father advised him to fight back, The Apology is an honest look at the repercussions of taking revenge and the long term effects that bullying can have. This is a brilliant piece of physical theatre and an excellent opportunity for our students! Certain Year 9 and 10 students will have the opportunity to have a professional actor's workshop with the actors after the performance.

14.01.2022 What better way to celebrate National Science Week 2020 Deep Blue Sea, than with a trip out to the reef to snorkel and plant coral. Thanks to John and Jenny Edmondson of Wavelength Reef Cruises for hosting a STEM day to the outer reef visiting two Opal Reef sites as part of National Science week.

11.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers Our teachers are excited to welcome back Year 11 and Year 12 students on Monday 11 May. Year 7-10 students will need to continue with learning from home unless they are children of essential workers and vulnerable students. Continue to contact teachers by email if your child has any questions about their home learning. We understand that parents may choose to keep Year 11 and 12 students home even though they are not medically vulnerable or unwell. T...hey will not be provided with learning at home materials but can use the learning@home resources (https://education.qld.gov.au/curriculum/learning-at-home ). While at school students will be asked to wash their hands regularly and use hand sanitiser upon entry to the classroom. Our cleaners are also working additional shifts cleaning high touch point areas in classrooms and around the school during the day. It is preferred that student bring in a water bottle rather than drink from the taps. At the end of last term students were offered a water bottle for free. If your child has not yet collected one they can request one from the office. Social distancing (1.5m) for adults continues to be an important measure at school and we ask that you minimise visits to the school and do not congregate at access points to the school grounds. Students who are unwell are to stay home. If a student becomes unwell at school, parents will be asked to collect the student. We have been advised that they cannot stay at school. If you haven’t done so already complete the attendance survey for Week 4: https://survey.qed.qld.gov.au/anon/3939.aspx Our tuckshop is operating with a reduced menu (copy attached). Pre ordering is highly recommended. The tuckshop is open from 8.30am for pre orders. Thank you again for your support during this pandemic. Regards Michelle Lyons Principal

We still need to confirm our Athletics carnival (amid regulations) and we haven't finalised a Junior Swimming carnival date, but we are hopeful to have 2 out of 3 carnivals running next semester.
