25.01.2022 A big Congratulations goes out to our very talented year 12 student Liam Hinchcliffe. Liam has been named in the NSW Triathlon Emerging talent squad. This is an awesome achievement and we wish Liam the very best as he moves forward. Liam will also compete in the All Schools Athletics Carnival which is set to be held in November. Good Luck!

25.01.2022 Before ... and after ! #mvhscolourrun2020

25.01.2022 THE LAST DAY OF MOVEMBER 2020 So far our banked team total is $875 of our $1600 goal! (pending a few thousand from our Brotoes sales and further donations) We can't thank our school community enough for getting behind this amazing cause and would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped us spread awareness throughout November. ... There are still quite a few pairs of Brotoes socks left (plenty of moustache designs too) so for the remainder of this week we will be selling 2 pairs for $7 (one of which must be a moustache design) - every single cent goes straight to Movember. You can check out our team's progress at the link below: https://moteam.co/mo-vale-high-school

23.01.2022 Throwing it back to our 2019 end of year film .... when Dancemonkey-itis was the only virus we were worried about ! A little watch of this easily "brightens up the darkest of days..." #mvhsbetterthanever

21.01.2022 Last week our incoming HSC PDHPE class were treated to a ‘Zoom’ visit from leading women’s rugby league physiotherapist Michael Baines from BaiMed Physiotherapy. Bainesy - who is currently the NRLW Dragons, NSW Women’s State of Origin Blues and Jillaroos physio discussed physiotherapy as a career path, and helped them to dig deeper into injury assessment, management and rehabilitation in preparation for their first sports medicine assessment task. The PDHPE class are so thankful for his time and efforts in helping them out.

18.01.2022 TOMORROW IS OUR ANNUAL MOVEMBER DAY! To spark a conversation, raise awareness and celebrate the month that changes the face of men's health, all students and staff are invited to wear their funkiest socks with their normal school uniform to school on Thursday the 26th November. Students and staff (if they haven't grown one) are also invited to rock their best moustache on the day too. This could be in the form of a stick on, prop or costume (no mo's are to be dr...awn on or masks to be worn). Sadly, due to COVID, our Bronut (donut) sale will not go ahead this year, but we look forward to return of this in 2021. Those who choose to wear funky socks tomorrow are to make a gold coin donation towards the Movember foundation. So far our Movember team has raised close to $2000 through the sale of our funky Brotoes socks and kind donations from family, friends and the local community and we are very grateful for any and all support. There are still plenty of styles left - $5 a pair with every single cent going directly to the Movember Australia charity. If you'd simply like to make a donation to support the team you can do so at the following link: https://au.movember.com/team/2243393

As well as spending an afternoon being physically active with friends we also raised important funds for the Movember Australia Foundation and the White Ribbon Australia charity. Congratulations to all involved and a huge thank you to Miss Leet for her tireless efforts (that began in March) in organising such an awesome day for all involved

07.01.2022 It's a big day for our Year 12 CAPA students Our Music students are currently at Robertson presenting their Core Performances and Electives for the HSC examiners, and our Visual Arts students have their Artworks due to Mrs Mumford by 3.00pm!! All the best to our brilliant Year 12 students.

07.01.2022 HOW2LEARN FORTNIGHTLY FOCUS Week 7 and 8’s fortnightly H2L focus is on the habit of imagining. A habit of learning that lends itself very easily to all subjects and to our lives. A student who uses the habit of imagining successfully can picture how things might look, sound and feel and they can draw ideas on paper as they are thinking about them. Students can play with situations and possibilities and imagine their outcome and rehearse things in their mind before they do... them. Teachers will be embedding this in lessons, where possible, over the next fortnight as another tool to boost learning for our students.

06.01.2022 Year 12 formals and graduations can proceed from 12 November 2020, please refer to the guidelines on https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families. Speak to your school's principal to find out the specific plans for your school.

05.01.2022 Year 12 students and parents, here's what's coming up over the next month. If you have any questions, send us a dm.

04.01.2022 To celebrate the month that changes the face of men's health, all students and staff were invited to wear their funkiest socks to school for the day. This is what it looks like when over 650 students and our staff get behind a great cause for a whole month. A little idea doing big things - and in its second year we have smashed our 2019 Movember fundraising total and are on our way to over $4000 raised so far! ... It’s time we pull up our socks on the issues that face our young boys and men and these funky socks certainly are helping, as they spark a conversation, raise awareness of important issues and further help change the face of men’s health!

03.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to Year 11 Music and Entertainment students Olivia Jones, Matthew Johnston and Alex Lawson for their invaluable assistance with our HSC Music exam today. Olivia sang harmonies for 10 songs and Matthew and Alex controlled the sound desk for each of the 39 performances. We are very grateful for their support and appreciate them for giving up Saturday for our sound checks and then today for the exam (especially when they could have been studying for their Preliminary Exams which are on this week!).

03.01.2022 PASS TECHNOLOGY IN SPORT EXCURSION Year 9 PASS classes attended an excursion to The Bradman Oval in Bowral today. Groups were shown through the museum to study the progress of cricket in Australia and watched a movie that emphasised technology in the game. We then participated in a variety of cricket training games before conducting our own Grehan vs Rossi team match on the pitch.
